I thought instead of starting a week-by-week thread, it would be easier to track putting them all here under one roof so to speak...

As JAS advised us last week, young Norwood talent Luke Brown was the Round 1 nominee - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32305

For Round 2 it is another Norwood player, this time round nippy little crumbing forward in Peter Persinos. Congratulations Pete...

ROUND 2 POWERADE STAR SEARCH AWARD NOMINEE - PETER PERSINOS (NORWOOD)

The SANFL on Persinos wrote:Peter played in the forward pocket for his second League match for Norwood on Friday, April 8. The 17 year old kicked two goals, two behinds and two out on the full in a match where he also tallied 15 kicks, six handballs, one mark and three tackles. As a small elusive forward, Peter was very dangerous when the ball was inside 50. Judges praised his speed and smarts showcased during the Redlegs' resounding win over the Double Blues.

Could have kicked about ten so far this year.

At last count I reckon it's three goals, five behinds and three out on the full.

At least he's getting shots I guess.

This kid is a star and is destined for bigger and better things at AFL level...

Have seen him now twice live and once on tape and his stock just rise everytime he plays...

Congratulations to young Bulldogs tagger Jarrod Schiller who has been awarded the Round 4 Powerade Star Search nomination after his great run-with role on Nathan Eagleton on ANZAC Day.

Well done Jarrod, throroughly deserved accolade. I think from memory, he was nominated last year also.

Jarrod was responsible for tagging senior Norwood player Nathan Eagleton in Central’s Anzac Day victory at Adelaide Oval on Monday, April 25.

While he kept Eagleton to 13 possessions, he tallied 18 disposals (eight kicks and 10 handballs), laid five tackles and was creative coming out of defence.

Judges said Jarrod’s tough approach at the ball was a game highlight.

Nothing 'journalistic' about it TSG (plus I'm not a journalist ;) ) just posting my thoughts and the link to the story and the photo notifying all of Jarrod's nomination :D

He was previously shortlisted for a Powerade Star Search nomination in Round 3 where, in his debut League match, he was a standout in contested ball wins, work rate and intensity.

The 18 year old midfielder originates from Port District Football Club.

Those stats don't read for such an impressive game. Can someone who saw him play shed some light on how he played, what role he did etc?

His stats vs WEST are listed as 6 kicks and 1 handball on the website. That is a ridiculously low set of numbers. Surely there are candidates with better credentials this week. Teasdale and White were both far more productive for North on the TV game without digging any further
