entertaining game to watch on tv, thought dogger, gill and allerway were standouts although the roosters skipper tarnished his performance with wayward kicking for goal in the last qtr

It was an interesting game. It always will be when key forwards are so threatening I guess. But watching I just kept thinking how it was hard to see either being at the pointy end of the ladder. I can see these two sides battling all year for the same spot on the ladder. But I suspect that spot might be outside the 5.

Not sure what to make of Pearce. He got a lot of ball, but he was recruited by the Power for his running. With several seasons of AFL training under his belt his running alone will get him 30+ touches. But I didn't see too many occaisions where he looked like he was going to split North apart like you'd want him to.

Well done Blues and well done to Duldig, here's hoping he has dominating standout games on a consistent basis.
Could only listen on radio but it sounded like both teams turned over the ball often and Sturt came off worse with the umps.

obv we didnt. he cut us up bad right till the end. wish we still had stribling.

I didn't think so. I thought Evans, Riley, Gum, Norsworthy, Duldig, Sheedy, Anderson, Crane and Thomson were all better than Pearce on the day...sure he did a couple of flashy things, but not consistently throughout the game. I don't know what his stats were, but I'm struggling to recall and lace out passes into the forward line. He got better as the game went on, but he should play with us next week on that performance.

A good win given we were down to one on the bench early in the game. Lucky though that our "B.F.C" in Mr Duldig can kick straight, and North's "B.F.C" can't..

Riley BOG IMO. Duldig, Sheedy and Crane all impressive as was Thompson in the second half particularly. Liked the games of White, Alleway, Gill and Teasdale. Not overly impressed with a couple of our more experienced defenders who I thought were pretty well beaten today. Good win in the end but I agree that if either of these two sides finish better than 6th they'll have done much better than expected. Not the best display of umpiring either...

I think Duldig ate the ball after each of his 8 goals.

Which less than half were effective and to advantage perhaps? He had a solid second half...That's the way I saw it...

A pretty entertaining day at the footy too...deserved a bigger crowd
