Anyhow it will be "bye bye magpies" if the reserves concept gets up! After all how many years can the 8 other clubs stomach the Magpies being funded by SANFL handouts and now AFL handouts? Didn't see the AFL offering to clear the debts of North, Sturt, West etc when we all hit hard times but the Magpies get another boost until they are killed off in a year or two or however long it will take to get the ressies up and running?
I think Port have turned themselves into a basket case. It's not the SANFL who aren't turning up to watch them.
The SANFL are in a stronger position than almost any league outside the AFL, with about $150 million in assets. Whatever happens to the licences, or anything else, the SANFL will control the stadium and maintain a healthy revenue stream.
Most of what has been put in the paper has been from the writers' own agendas and a lot of it has been uninformed nonsense.
PS 1: Pseudo, waiting with interest for your response to the previous questions.
PS 2" The clubs will vote on Reserves teams. The AFL clubs have always wanted it, it's up to us all to make sure it doesn't happen.
