Their best chance appears against South at Unley.

South will be without much incentive if they lose to the Eagles on Sunday and Sturt will be eager to give "Sticks" at least one more victory before he leaves Oxford Terrace.

I think Sturt are a bit of a chance this week against Centrals. Im a central fanatic but the loss of Cowan due to injury is really going to unsettle the side. I don't think Westoff is quite ready to play as a key forward, being the third tall suits him prefectly. With injuries to Aufderheide and the pressumed unavailble Quinton Graham, Mckenzie will have to continue to play down back. Also Centrals have generally struggled on Adelaide Oval excluding most ANZAC day clashes, whereas Sturt seem to play better. So far we have being as uncosistent as any teams going around. It is a real danger game for the Dogs.

In saying this im not making excuses i expect to win but the squad so far this year have proven anything could happen. At our best we will win by 100+ at our worst we could lose by six goals.

I would like to think they are capable of a couple of stirring wins SP.

I too think the Panthers @ Unley would be a fair bet, especially considering the likes of Nelson, Whiteman, Coad, Colreavy, DeLuca, Jarjoura and perhaps even Squire should be back playing.

Before the weekend I thought Norwood @ AO could be another, although they have found something extra. Glenelg @ Unley is also a chance but they too are playing some good footy.

Central this weekend won't be impossible with a few important inclusions. They don't tend to play their best footy at Adelaide Oval, that being said they should be a bit too strong.

The other game that I think we are a big chance in would be Port @ Alberton. They appear to have hit the wall and by all reports all is not well in the camp. I fancy us down there IF we play some reasonable football in the next couple of weeks.

The Eagles at home in the last round looks to be heading for one result only...... I would expect, however, a competitive showing as a farewell to Sticks' and the Unley Oval faithful.

In short I will be disappointed if we don't win at least two of our last six, possibly three.

I don't fancy our chances against Central.

The game at Unley was ours for the taking but we weren't able to play good enough footy with a dying breeze in the Final Quarter.

Glenelg could be interesting.

Douglas and Willits may be required by their AFL sides and Marty Mattner may need a run with us after his performance at Subiaco.

South is the one. They don't enjoy playing on the confined Unley Oval and have shown at Norwood and Glenelg Ovals this year those grounds don't suit their style of play at all.

Norwood have surprised me over the past few weeks.

Either Central and North were not totally switched on or Norwood have lifted to another level. Who can forget Norwood's woeful effort at Alberton?

We were in both previous games against them and Bartemucci's Soccer goal virtually stole the match at Coopers' Stadium.

Port have been hit by injury but if Stevens Waterhouse Clayton etc are back when we play at Port Rd., it'll be pretty difficult.


MST! Is there any truth in the rumour that Rowey is interested in the Sturt Senior Coaching position?

I heard yesterday from a reliable source close to Brodie and Bruce Lennon that he's definitely interested.

I don't think you could say the Legs stole the last encounter mate having lead for more than %90 of the match.

I think Sturt will win again this year, but I'm not sure which game(s) it will be ... I know I will be very nervous the next time we play them!

Yes SP, my understanding is Stephen Rowe will apply for the Job.

Without sounding too biased, it is a pretty high profile job at a footy club that has a very good reputation around Australia, so I imagine there will be a number of high profile applications.

westhoff(s) have killed us this year. We have no talls to stop whatever you put on the park so no cowans wont hinder you guys too much...in saying that, we ran you guys hard the last time and wasted a 10 goal qtr...just lacked that bit of polish to finish you guys off....i dont see us getting belted but winning this game seems a distinct possibility.

dogs by 6 goals as they pull away in the last.

but to answer you Q sp, i think we will win another one and the south and bays games seem the best opportunities...also norwood despite how well they are playing now...

I might win another game, with footy, you never know.

The way my 'Pies are travelling and the fact we are the only team to drop a game to Westies this year makes me wonder what the result of the Round 21 clash at Alberton will be.
