Bulldog Chat During the Bye Week

Postby whufc » Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:23 am

Might keep a few of us of the other teams threads during this boring week ;)

Seriously though there is alot that can be discussed about the Dogs at the current moment.

-Which players will be back after the bye?
-Which players currently in the side will drop out to make room?
-Which AFL listed players should qualify and play finals?
-Who would you have stay in the side Reichart or Templeton?
-Will Waldhutter get a crack in the league when he comes back from state duties?

Peoples thoughts!

While the side is winning with the current guys i would like to see nearly all of these start back in the ressies. Exception being Havelberg and Chris Gowans who would have only missed the one game since being injured.

There was also Northern Bar Hill talk about whether Andrew Hayes would make it back on the field this year

There is a real possibility of this, especially considering he had pretty much the same injury that he has now back a few years ago and he missed 12 weeks then, so it's a chance.

From what I have heard and been told, it really is a week by week thing, just to see how it is responding to treatment. From last reports, I heard it could be 4-10 weeks?

I see Jon Platten from NORTH ADELAIDE is still listed as 5 weeks with his shoulder injury.

Very very good player, would be surprised if we ever see him again.

I still remember a goal he kicked along the boundary in a reserves final a few years ago was all class.

Josh Waldhuter deserves a league match this year, he is a superstar in the making.

He started it ;)

IMHO Josh Waldhuter should get a league debut for the Dogs when he returns from State duties.

Bulls**t chat would be a more appropriate thread topic. ;)

How can you say it's a boring week whufc? Not every week a coach gets sacked mid season when the team is in the top 5.

Does it effect centrals? NO
But centrals did help the cause a bit.

The Glenelg players had a lot more to do with it than ours. Not sure what they looked like previously, but at 1/2 time it was a matter of whether it was Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

The club has bought all that vacant land on the south side of the clubrooms as well as buying the car park off of the council. The club wants to create a multi sports hub. It's on page 4 of current Messenger.

And in breaking news the club has just announced that the new sporting hub was possible due to the generosity of the Smithfield Community Centre , with one of the conditions being the addition of a new multi level crib to compliment the 15 new pokies in the canteen. Sorry to hijak your thread Centurion- waca waca
