Be interesting to see how the Eagles take this game on. The 21 that go out there will go full bore, but do they rest a few key players who might have some niggling injuries and then get the team settled the following week a week out from finals? If Smith is unavailable for finals, do they play him in the reserves (if he's not selected in the Crows) and get league game time into Sutcliffe/Rimington etc who will most likely be needed.

I think West will take the 5th spot in finals, even if they lose this one.

Fantastic to see Luke Jarrad sign on for another season.

If West are ever gunna win then surely Saturday is the day , if not Collins oughta do the honourable thing and fall on his sword , especially considering the $ hes on ( good source ;) )

WA are preparing for a do or die game
WA has their season on the line
A win and a finals berth becomes more of a probability

The Question I ask is :
Why is arguably the best footballer at the club , Steven Morris , training with an AFL team during the week ?

Is his aspiration of becoming an AFL footballer greater than his current allegiance at WA ?

do you think Dave Hankin will get a call up this week? Hope he does. Surely after kicking 8 goals last week, he deserves a crack.

Do you have a problem with footballers aspiring to play at a higher level? His football club obviously don't mind.

Either Reece Homfray or Zac Milbank from the 'Tiser said on RPH this morning that the AFL clubs have only a certain time frame to work within when looking at Father/Son picks.

I dont have any problem with a player aspiring to play at a higher level
I have a problem with the timing
Morris should be preparing for this weeks game against WWT, like the rest of his team-mates
He has trained elsewhere in a diff environment
He also had to travel, the travelling alone MAY affect his performance this week

Imagine if Morris was injured in the process, WA supporters would be asking questions

TSG its probably no big deal whats happened
And not worth a flurry of posts between us
