So North are still a chance to get that 5th spot but have to beat the Doggies. They are the last team to do so but Central had a great win against Norwood and will be confident.

The quesion will be whether the Dogs bring back some underdone players or rest them up meaning they wont play again until the 2nd semi final in 3 weeks time.

Central by 4 goals for mine.

Centrals a class above anything in this comp, with finals around the corner they are starting to shift up a gear, should beat North by 5-6 goals

It would have been so much better for North if Norwood had won on Saturday. Still think North can give this one a shake.

Why's that TSG? I would've thought it's better for us that Centrals already have the minor premiership sewn up? North will definitely throw everything at the Dogs, whoever makes it onto the park. Knowing our luck Port or South will get up anyway.

If the Dogs finished 2nd, therefore not having a weeks break, they would have surely rested anyone with a niggle. Now if they rest a player he won't play for 3 weeks. It ain't rocket surgery.

As I said, North are still a chance.

Definitely more of a chance now than if the dogs had lost. Players with more serious niggles will likely be rested still, 2 weeks off for a few guys after a long season isn't the worst thing in the world. But Roy would not have wanted to go into the finals on the back of consecutive home losses. But from what I gather some of the guys who needed a break got one on the weekend. Ryan Williams and Paul Thomas look to be carrying injuries, so Roy can now decide whether one week or two weeks off will help (unless Thomas gets a compulsary rest of course).

North are definitely a chance, but a fairly remote one. Centrals starting to steam into finals mode and the 21 who played last week all knowing there are around 5 guys in contention to return that 5 out of 26 blokes are going to miss. Nearly half the team would be under some sort of threat and would definitely not want to put in a poor one against North.

Let's not under-estimate the enemy.

Dogs have nothing to play for here.

Roosters a chance to play finals footy.

My $$$ are on the dogs, but..... :D

You bet, just get tired of the same old crap.

Are things okay between you and the football club again?

Some potentially hard decsions for Centrals if some of those players don't come up this week considering the week off to follow.

Alway hard decisions to make with selection on injured players and finals. As Roy Laird said in a Localfootysa article, it wouldn'r be ideal for a player coming back from injury to not play for 3 + weeks leading into a final.

The Dogs have done it before and got the playing mix right, I'd suspect Chris Gowans and Daniel Havelberg will come in to play North as mentioned, both were pretty close last week apparently.

The concerning one for Dogs fans would be Andrew Hayes and whether the groin complaint sidelining him at the moment is a the same issue as previous or just precutionary rest.

Selection will be interesting this week for sure, even from a reserves perspective as well, the Central v North game in the 2's will see the winner claim 5th spot and a reserves elimination final berth.

I'd suggest a few is the same as not too many, so Roy has in fact said exactly what I said. Don't worry, that egg will come off eventually. Lol.

Interesting match this one, Do We ease up a bit, make sure We don't get any more injuries & risk losing & have North in the finals? OR do We go all out to make sure Port make it, therefore increasing Our chances of PAYBACK??
I think Roy isn't that sort of bloke, it will be interesting to see who comes back in this weekend for Us, therefore I will reserve my selection for Friday......unless I get banned again.

The 21 will be expected to play hard all game and it's not really in the make up of the blokes we have to take it easy. I'm certain there will be a few blokes in the category of "would have played if it was a final" sitting in the stands, but you wouldn't entertain taking it too easy.

Very interesting game, i think Central will rest a couple of more experienced players who are injured/carrying injuries.

One thing for certain is whatever team Central put on the park you would expect a massive effort as each player will only be 1 very good performance away from playing in a second semi final.

Also think it will be a great benefit for the likes of Templeton, Hardy and Reichart to go up against the North forwards just before the finals as they have struggled against these blokes this year.
