I enjoyed the Laurie Argent I/V a little while ago, quite entertaining.
Keep up the great work.

And more 80s music I say!!!

Why have it on a Monday morning and not on a Thursday night Smithy????

Surely your audience is better on a night time slot that first thing in the morning esp. on a Monday.

40 mins of Kerls and 20 mins of teams= no bullshit and real SANFL stuff!

It will be nice hearing Kerley talking about something other than crows and power for a change.

Would be an interesting fact how many other teams did he take all the way ?

West Adelaide and Glenelg I would think .

He did nothing with West Torrens and Centrals and by that I mean no Flags .

Interesting interview. I've heard it all before but it's still good listening as it's important not to forget the past.

Kerley stated his 1983 West Adelaide premiership was the best team he ever coached because of the players (Lindner, Luders, Meuret, Morris, etc), their attacking qualities, their togetherness, fitness, discipline and individual flair. It was a great team, there's no argument there.

One thing I would have liked 5RPH to ask Neil Kerley was if all those ingredients for success were still at the club in 1984, why didn't West make the finals? I've always wanted to hear Kerls' answer for this.

That '83 team was something else.

IIRC, the three-headed monster of injuries, poor form and a premiership hangover really hurt the Bloods in '84.

Bruce Linder, who was such an important player in the premiership win, played only four games in '84.

Agreed guys, that 83 Westies team IMHO was as good as I've seen and as amazing as that lineup was, it was just as amazing how much they fell away in 84' ...

Yep, great interview, its funny, as whenever I have 5AA on (by accident) I turn off when Kerles comes on.
His anecdotes of the past were fantastic unlike his opinions on how the Crows and Powere are going.
Well done Smithy, DB and 5RPH.
