Eagles have to be favourites now dont you think

Postby Jimmy » Tue Aug 15, 2006 5:51 am

Well, after that weekend of footy, the eags fans would have to be getting very itchy and nervous and above all else, very very excited.

Id have to say that they are favs for the flag, just ahead of north who i had jumped on all season as the favs..

I dont know why the margin was so much between north and the eags but it definately showed the eags mean business...

dogs crumble just as they start to get going...

eags
north
dogs
bays
south

thats my top 5.

I'm excited, but still wary of the dogs.

I'm less excited than the previous years.

I'm excited - don't get me wrong. But it's the fear of "it happening again" that really makes me stomach churn.

Yes Eagles are favs and the Bays are probably send favs on current form.
I would have had the Dogs up there too but was most suprised by their loss to Port.

I wouldn't worry about Port. They have been flogged the past few weeks, one win and they are back? I dont think so.

Eagles are red hot favourites, if they dont win the flag this year theres something wrong.

All the same RoosterMarty I will keep a lid on it for now , mind you my comments if we are winning will not win me any fans from the other teams :D
Because everyone dishes it out when you win and hopefully takes it the same way when you lose !!

If the Eagles can't win it this year they should board up the clubrooms and go fishing instead. :)

I wouldn't Bays in there, we are not even guaranteed a finals spot....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Jimmy the eagles have been favourites regularly over the last 6 or so years and then what happens...........
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

That was a great win against North, and in a very important game too, but we must not get ahead of ourselves. Just a week earlier South thrashed the Eagles at Noarlunga!

The next few weeks are going to be very interesting, the lead-up to the finals and the finals themselves. Let's hope for some excellent attendances to do justice to this very exciting competition we have.

Yeah, well that's the part I don't understand either. All of a sudden we are red hot favourites for the flag, but people are forgetting something.
