as a nuetral supporter today i ventured down to watch a game of footy & as usual at the breaks there were plenty of people on the oval one spectator (mark williams) was talking to a power listed player (that was playing) when his coach was talking to the team, i personally think this is wrong as when they have their sanfl jumper on thats who the player should be focused on & further more its not the first time this has happened as it has happened at glenelg games as well over the years & no doubt with all the clubs at various stages mt can back me up with glenelg games because we've seen it together i think he should not be allowed to talk to the players when he has nothing to do with the club the players playing for
what do you guys think & by the way it happened at both breaks & i doubt it happened at half time !!

I have spotted that at a Glanelg game recently at the Bay.
I think its wrong.
But it also shows the mans obvious compassion for his players.

Do agree with you on this one Bayman.
I could only see it being acceptable if Williams has personally approached the coach(ing staff) prior to the start of the game.
If this has happened, you'd like to think that the answer would have been "no".

the clubs would want to be careful on what they say to chocko
Port have a history of moving their listed players from SANFL clubs a la Jacob Surjan and mysteriously they end up at the magpies

Ah yeah, great comment, an AFL premiership coach getting tips from a club who's only premiership was due to an amalgamation, and who's record in GF's in recent years has been the joke of the SANFL. Yeah good comment there..

Sorry, GWW that's my bad, I didn't read Bayman's post properly and thought he was talking about yesterday's (Bay) game.

No worries ODB, I was just trying to put those Eagles guys in their place

Even though the comment was made in gest, saying that Fuller has anything over Choco is just plain ridiculous!!

I dont think there were any Power listed players playing for Norwood today were there? Thomas and Lower both played in the Collingwood game on Fri night. I presumed the comment was alluding towards Shattock. If it was Norwood, i presume, it would be Minson but presumably he played in the Reserves, unless he played in the Senior side..

MAYBE!! but the same old cliched comments keep coming up all the time from these Eagles supporters who have a false sense of where their football club comes in the scheme of things!
