MINOR PREMIERSHIP

Postby JamesH » Tue Aug 22, 2006 5:43 pm

The SANFL usually present the trophy to a club administrator before the 2nd semi

I think it would be good to see the trophy awarded to minor premier after the final minor round game. That way it give the supporters and players something to celebrate before the serious stuff starts.

It would also be a good op for the sponsors as the trophy will be presented in front of fans - as with the West End ANZAC Trophy

When the trophy is presented to an offical rather than the captain/coach it loses some of its value

What if there's a game at Noarlunga where 1 team is vying for it whilst the other team vying for it is playing at Elizabeth and both games go to the wire.
How do they get it there on time?

Seriously though with my stupid eg ignored I think that is a fantastic idea, would give it a bit more prestige.
Good idea James!

Call it the Max Basheer Memorial Trophy.
