report on page 70 todays advertiser that unfortunately super sid at 94 yrs young has passed away.
Im sure many of us have had an experience or two with super sid.

I will never forget his constant PA v NA score updates while I was goal umpiring in a primary schools lightening carnival at Woodville, I think he was just as happy as I was letting me know that North were 10 goals up.
RIP Sid, another icon of the the game gone.

He was a passionate Norwood man wasn't he? Did he 'follow' the Eagles as well, though?

He went from Norwood to the Eagles with Neil Balme.

In 1991 he came over with balme. He also had a very good relationship with ex Eagle and young surf life saving star Jamie Dunne

Remember him walking through the Glenelg cheer squad in the mid 80's pre game at the parade absoloutley giving it to us (harmlessly)
No one gave him lip back. Everyone liked Super Sid.
