Port's poor percentage could be a telling factor in where we finish up

Port play eagles at woodville and north at adel oval in the final 2 rnds while the dogs play north at eliz and west at richmond, the dogs would seem to have the better run home

The Dogs have the easier run home for sure. next week should be a cracker but you have the wood over us so you would have to start favourites, we have the wood over port so we would like to think we can win that game, so Port play 1st and 2nd in the run home, they will struggle to win one of those.

Port cannot miss the finals, as if Glenelg were to win their last match, that would mean South would miss out, but if South won their last two, Glenelg would miss out.

i would like to thing the daogs still have not played their best footy for the year, their is not too many four 1/4 efforts and we have been a bit up and down all year......

with two weeks before finals i think the side is just about to click in to full gear and their best footy is in front of them, my mail is Cowan may be right to go next week and if he is up and firing for the finals "watch out"

It's not that we're worried that we can still miss the finals (coz as you stated, we can't) it's more the fact we wanna secure that all important 'double chance'.

Either way, make sure you put on a show next week at Woodville Oval, I might even head down there on the Sunday to (dare I say it) barrack for the Magpies! #-o

Dogs and Cocks becomes a massive game next week. If the Dogs win, it is almost guaranteed that the two teams will meet 2 weeks later at Adelaide Oval. Looking forward to Saturday night already!

Looks like there'll be a final six this year with South & Glenelg playing in a Pre-Elimination Final.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Spelly can confirm, but I believe this is correct...

The loser of South and Glenelg is likely to have the highest ever percentage for a team missing the finals since the final 5 was introduced in 1973.

Yes. It is in fact the highest percentage to miss the finals in either the 10 team or 9 team competitions (from 1964 onwards)

It will be the highest percentage to miss the finals since 1950, when North missed the 4 with a % of 55.90 in 5th place.

Ah yeah, missed that one.

54.75 Sturt had, finishing 5th. I think though, that a % of around 54 would be the highest ever to have finished in 6th place.
