Nothing strang about that, at Glenelg we've have had a player or two do their rehab at the Crows. Normally it takes a phone call to the appropriate person and fitting in with the rehab times of the Crows players.....

Good on Port for sharing with the SANFL
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

As long as Port do share with the SANFL as a whole and not just the magpies then I would have no problem at all. Happy to be proven wrong but I would be surprised if other clubs have used their facilities, on an ongoing basis for something such as rehab.

Its the classic "if you ask you shall recieve" concept all it takes is a phone call in the right direction and usually clubs will be happy to accomodate the request. its been happening for years, jeez my old man 35 years ago playing in the suburban leagues went down to Norwood to get treatment for an injury all it took was a phone call to the right person

I think things are slightly different from 35 yearas ago heater. I just can't see them allowing all 9 SANFL clubs access to their facilities. Again, I am happy to be proven wrong.

im just saying it has happened before and with the Magpies being a semi professional outfit i cant see why it would be a problem with them coordinating rehad with a professional organisation like the power

Because with the length of the injury list in the SANFL at the moment I cannot see any room left for the Power players. :D

I don't have a problem with the principle of Eichner using the rooms. My problem is that it would appear to be a luxury afforded to one SANFL club. Still happy to be proven wrong.

I also recall that one of the reasons the Magpies were shifted off to Ethelton in 97 was so that there could be no perceived advantage in them using the Powers rooms.

As I said, I have no problem in it happening - anything to get players back on the field quicker is a good thing.

Hasn't the Crows fitness coach established a training/fitness programme for Glenelg ?
If correct, would this be considered as Glenelg having an advantage over the other SANFL clubs ?

I think Stephen Schwerdt has been hired by a number of SANFL clubs to develop their fitness programs. Not just Glenelg.

Schwerdty has his own business (called something like Fit4Footy from memory) where he will provide a fitness program for any club at any level.

Don't turn the discussion into Crows Vs Port either - I don't have a problem with Port allowing the use of their facilities. I just don't like them bullshitting the football public 10 years ago.
