Mal- you are conveniently ignoring your own club's mis-management of their income stream, which hasn't allowed them to recruit as well as others. You cast your envious eyes on the clubs who are playing exciting footy, & wish that they weren't, as rather than Norwood catching up, it's easier to drag the other clubs down to their level.
I for one prefer to have clubs setting new high standards.

2 clubs not mentioned make more money than South.
And money certainly isn't the be all and end all when it comes to recruiting the best sort of players these days.

If I barracked for Centrals you would have no counter punch.
New high standards......where was North 4 years ago ???????
I will not get into a history lesson with the 2nd best club[norwood]
with north adelaide it would be too lop sided.
Norths dominance has only been a recent phenomen[thanks to $$$$]

CENTURION is on the ball.

This salary cap/victorian imports crap is getting rather tedious now. I know for a fact that if your clubs were able to recruit good players from across the border you would love it, but because you cant, you have a whinge.

Get your own club in order before worrying about other clubs.

IIRC I think the score between Norwood and North was 1-all this year...

100% right.
the extra $50k makes it harder for the poorer clubs.

We were struggling big time only 3 years ago, on and off the field. A bit of hard work and possibly even a slice of luck and the poorer clubs can turn things around.

Nup its actually:

North 25-18 168
Norwood 20-27 147

Shows how boring Norwood play, that's normally the score of North games not 2 North games!!

Dunno mate, look at what Norwood were playing Jarman and the rest of their players compared to North's shoestring budget in 1990 and have a look who did better on the table.

Seriously though, the salary cap had to raise with CPI, most other jobs do, why shouldn't the players?
Why should they be worse off than their brethren of 6 years ago?
