Unbelieveable. Without a doubt, Sturt woud have to be one of the best teams to finish with the wooden spoon. Consistency seems to have been their problem the whole year.
They have done the Eagles and Glenelg a huge favour

Reasonably unlucky to win a spoon with 6 wins. Usually that gets you off the bottom of the table. Slight improvement on last years 5 wins.

Probably I should have made it clear that I was stating that at least we have improved slightly from last year. But then, history will only show we won the wooden spoon again.

And it'll show that we beat Port at Alberton in the last round costing them a place in the finals. A small but pleasant consolation.

Crows players kicked 15 of 17 sturt goals, Brodie Martin must have played some sort of game

Thanks PP
I used to yell that 2 out of 3 weeks back in 88. Glad the response is still the same.

I think the true SANFL supporters do too - takes out all the uncertainty.

Yep, no up and down each week and relying on em.
Stops media always talking about afl crap during our games.

Bad luck Maggies its pretty hard to beat the Crows reserve side especially when they start to fire more reason for the Crows and Power to have a stand alone reserves side in the the AFL.

Wasn't pretty. Jenkins monstered us, the other Crows ripped us apart.
( no wonder Adelaide are top 2 with the depth they have....even just the players at Sturt )
Good team that finished bottom on yesterday's showing.

What can you say it other than it was one of those games where our skills were a bit better than what they have been and Port was certainly not up to their performance of the week before. As a Crows supporter as well, I'm certainly not losing any sleep over Tippett leaving as with Jenkins - yes, he's still got a way to go - you're not going to lose much in the future and for the time being he'll come at a far cheaper cost than Tippett as well. The forward line certainly operated better with Jenkins and Joe Anderson in the forward set up so I guess the question will be how Matt Duldig fits in as it seemed to work better without him being there.
Jack Kelly certainly showed a bit in his second game, Anderson was fantastic across half forward and Tom Hurley showed what he was showing us back in 2006 with a great game and Fraser Evans will probably become a mainstay across half back with his reading of the play.
Like everyone else I wish Jeremy Clayton all the best for the future as he's been a great servant for the Port Magpies and the SANFL.
