Well played lads, Andy Collins resting players over the past two weeks helped us run over the dogs in the last quarter.

Kicked a decent score too ;)

So ends what must be the longest ever minor-final winning streak not just in SANFL, but probably in all top tier Aussie rules competitions. When did Centrals last lose a minor final?

Well done Westies, that was pretty impressive .. Brad Fisher worth every penny, really delivered when most needed.

Best of luck to young Menzel, hope his knee isn't as bad as feared.

Congrats to west.

What a crap game, (it was crap even when we were leading).
Why didn't someone run past Menzel when he couldn't kick? We had to win, take the loose man out of defence. West would have killed us with marks inside fifty ( I assume), even with our loose defender. Should have played up the ground. Out tall forwards were killed in the packs, at least we could have had some crummers.
I thought we would have learnt from the Elizabeth game, earlier.

Ferg didn't do much early but really stood up in the second half. Hartlett, Schmidt and Caire were fantastic all day

Agree JK, hope Menzel isnt too bad

Great effort Westies today, Collins masterminded this perfect result.
After making 10 changes coming into a final i thought  WTF is this bloke doing, but Collins must be given alot of credit for how he prepared his team for this final, now for the 2nd semi v Norwood.
End of the Centrals era?
I hope so, go Westies, i think West can play alot better than they did today, how many times did West hang onto the ball too long & turn the bloody thing over? Maybe it was their 1st finals appearance for a while contributed to that, if they can clean up their disposal they'll go a long way in this finals series & they are capable of winning the flag but Collins wouldn't let his side get too far ahead of themselves & he'll be keeping a lid on things & take 1 week at a time.

Congrats West thought you were gone 20 mins into the 3rd quarter but the last 2 goals through sheer guts and will set up the game.
Westies quality talls are a real worry for opposition and Ferguson ( 25 ) showed he is the danger player at Richmond.
Young Crouch did not do a lot early but showed his class. He is a Crows star in the waiting, like his cool head.
Made my guts turn to see young Menzel go down like that. Hope it is not as bad as it looks.

Don't write Centrals off just yet though !!!!!!! Bit sad to see some of the cheap Gowans shots late in the game but I guess they are not used to losing.
Tribunal will have some tough decisions.

Enjoyed both games today in front of the TV. Refering to another post I think other than the GF these finals should be played at the higher ranked team's home ground. How good a crowd would we have seen at Prospect today and how much $ would the club have made ? Ditto for Dogs and Wolves.... or is it Bloods ?

So that would be the first final Centrals has lost since it started its run (outside of GFs)? Amazing.

Well done to West. They've got a side full of talent and structurally work very well too.

Well done West. We had too many players selected on reputation today and not form. It kills me to also say we were out coached.

I would also like to say it was a piss poor turn out by Centrals supporters today.

Talked about this on the way home. I think, 1998. I was 24,not 38 and my son who was working today was only 3 months old. Good run.

Terrible effort, but probably as good as West allowed. Missed chances early that may have lifted us to different things, while West capitalised on chances much better.

No sleep in next week.
