Hmmm, Clipsal used to sponsor North and the Eagles but to my knowledge don't sponsor anyone in the SANFL anymore.
Doesn't sound like a lot of facts involved with this one.:?
Is the car race being fined?

Why should we wait for it to be announced on radio? You could be our scoop if you tell us what you know. If it's true, you have nothing to worry about :)

100% garbage.
Clipsal is owned by muti-national firm Schneider Electric, & has been for the last 3 years.
Schneider Electric & Clipsal have nothing to do with SANFL.

Ive done a search and maybe he's talking about Murray Bridge basketball as Clipsal are a sponsor of 'Bridge Hoops'.
Link here:
http://www.murraybridge.basketball.net.au/fs_sponsors.asp

That's the only sponorship I could locate of any sort of organisation that might involve a salary cap.
I don't think there's any salary cap in V8 racing and despite Clipsal sponoring the Adelaide Zoo I don't think there's any salary cap that the giraffes have to fit under so I can only assume he's talking about Murray Bridge basketball.
I'm not sure what Murray Bridge basketball has to do with SANFL though? :?

I think you will find that the club in question has a Subsidiary of the Company mentioned as jumper sponsor on the front of it too if Im not mistaken

You must be mistaken, I've just gone through the 9 clubs jumpers and not one is a subsidiary of Clipsal. He must be talking about Murray Bridge basketball, its the only logical explanation?

Nah, dingalinga specifically mentioned Clipsal only and he's obviously in the full know about the situation and wouldn't have any facts wrong.

Could be a bleak week for Murray Bridge basketball but I'll await the story with interest.

In all seriousness, I think there's a moratorium of some sort at the moment isn't there so who knows what might come out?
Doug Robertson's been making known recently that the "new" salary cap will probably mean an increase to about 350k and with penalties including only letting a club recruit from its designated zone for 1 year.
Be interesting, but if a club is over the cap now would be the time to come out and admit it before the penalties increase.

Sure you don't mean Mistral?

How many amnesties do we have to have? Just throw the book - $8 per every $1 over with $1 going to each of the other clubs, plus take a leaf out of Serie A and start docking premiership points for a change if this proves to be factual.

(BTW I'm officially pissed off too because as a result of this post I have just discovered on the NAFC site that my folks are now sponsoring North as well as Sturt and they still refuse to sponsor the mighty Redlegs! Shitttttttttttttttttttt%***!!##). I've already made my phone call of displeasure!).

bump.

Well, interesting, almost 2 weeks have progressed and nothing has come about?
I was told to listen to the radio and did intently.

A more reliable word on the street is that a half yearly audit done on at least one club that may hav been incorrectly implicated in the initial post on this thread are more than 35k under (70k for the year if you take into account that players would normally be paid twice what they get for half a year, maybe add a bit of leeway if they're paid per game with the finals taken into account).

Hmmm, could dingalinga have been off the mark and be making up furphies?
Or was he trying to cause trouble?
Surely not? :?
Or was I on the mark in assuming dingalinga was talking about the Murray Bridge Basketball team?
I haven't read anything from Boti Nagy about it.

Sorry mate, you lost all credibility when your rumour proved false.
As I said, someone a little bit closer to the scene than your good self gave me a rundown of the finances yesterday champ and no money has been allocated for a fine and player finances are well under the target requried for the salary cap (so much so its not even close to being an issue), it was also someone who doesn't make false posts mate and probably someone who might be invovled with the finances of the club involved a wee bit closer than your good self.

Try a new troll mate, something a bit more believable that can't be followed up this time nor completely discredited after 2 weeks.
