Will the Double-Header be Moved to Sunday?

According to Channel 9, the Crows will be playing their final at Footy Park next Saturday afternoon - the same time as the SANFL double header is scheduled for Adelaide Oval.

So.... does anyone know whether the double header will be moved? To Sunday? Or play a game Friday night?

You'd think not as its always been programmed for the Saturday, all 4clubs would want that 1 extra day of rest before the finals.
The other 2 games have been programmed as TBA so they'll be moved I'd imagine.

Reading the threads on Bigfooty, it seems as though the Crows are locked in on Saturday afternoon (even though the official announcement will only be made at 7:30 tonight).

So the SANFL really has to shift these games, or the crowd will be incredibly poor (even though this stuffs up all my plans for next weekend as well  )

I doubt it'd be that poor.
Port fans don't care about the Crows, North fans still rock up in force when playing against the Crows (see Alberton Oval this year).
Might stop a couple of bandwagonning Bays fans from attending but it'd be good if it sorts the wheat out from the chaff!
If South have 3 or 2 supporters rock up it wont make much difference.

Play on I say, I'd say any move would have to be approved by the clubs anyway.
I wonder if they could move the times to make it a night double header?
First game at 5pm and 2nd game at 8pm would allow people to get from Footy Park to Adelaide Oval on time.

Perhaps we should just wait another hour before speculating further, there's only a 1 in 4 chance that the Crows game will be on Saturday arvo.
I would have thought Fri night would have been the go.

Be prepared for:

- The double header to stay as is.
- West v Central to be programmed at Sunday 2.20pm
- Sturt v Eagles: either a Friday night game or to be programmed to Sunday 2.20pm also.

League cannot move venues at this stage from a weekend (eg. make either game a weekend night game), but do have the facility to move one game to Friday night. Generally, however, more likely to have both on Sunday.

bugger the budgies and the ballet footy, the SANFL should be proud of their product and the real fans will go on saturday arvo.

they play WAFL games head to head with AFL games on a regular basis.

I'd watch the Eagles over the Crows any day but unfortunately a lot of people don't work like that. Particularly Eagles fans. :(

i think they'll move all the games bar the one for tv & wedgies idea of a doubleheader at night is ok, maybe they could do one game on the friday then the tv game for saturday & have the doubleheader on sunday as it shouldn't bother the clubs as the finals are on sundays anyway, but if the glenelg game isn't moved i'll be there & save about $40 on buying a ticket to the crows game infact i've already had two calls to get my ticket so they could go to the crows game but we'll wait & see first

(members have to pay to get into afl finals as well)

My night idea would have to be moved later due to the 2.30pm start for the Crows game.
I'm not sure if 5.30pm and 8.30pm would be viable, getting a bit late.
