Stanley H Lewis Memorial Trophy Update After Rd 22?

Postby Wedgie » Sun Sep 03, 2006 8:10 pm

Anyone got an update of the SHL Trophy?
I know North were just behind the Eagles and with all 4 of our grades winning and the Eagles dropping a couple in the juniors it must be bloody close.
Yet another thing that will be decided in Round 23.

North now have a 35 point lead, because the Under 19s' and 17s' won. Unfortunately I think North will end up winning by 5 points looking at the last rounds matches.

Then we will have come 2nd in the trophy for the 7th time. :(

No problems. Although, I keep forgetting as well that the Under 17s' minor round has finished.

Cheers for that, looks like it will probably just come down to if North's league win or not then?
Crikey, what a ripper of a round we're in for!

Or if Norths' reserves win or not - I would think all three of Eagles' grades will win, and as you expect, Norths' 19's to lose. So that means both Norths' League and Reserves need to win to claim the trophy.

North's reserves side will win, easily the best side in the comp at the moment.
It'll come down to the league game.

Yeah, their results look impressive. Of course I'd trade this trophy for the Thomas Seymour Hill, mind you.

As I've said before, the scoring system just makes it a League trophy, with the other grades only there as a tiebreaker if it's close.

West, because of its League results, are 8th, despite the Reserves being 3rd, the 19's top and the 17's 3rd.

Norwood's achievement of finishing fourth while operating on the distant memory of the smell of an oily rag should not go unnoticed. Well done to our GM.

Yep, I think it's 100 for league, 50 for reserves, 30 for 19s and 20 for 17s.
