If they played AFL last week they can't drop back this week. Its a rule.

Ahhh, forgot exactly what the rule was, geez Lonie would have been handy too.

Lonie had shoulder surgery a few weeks back. He's out for the year.

Magpies will have Scott Stevens back in time for the preliminary final, should we make it that far, because the Crows won't get past the semi-final.

Can I ask, I know a player must play 3 SANFL games to be eligible for the finals, but what if (for example) Brett Ebert had played 2 games for the Maggies, and his 3rd game woulda been this Friday night, would he be allowed to play, in order to be eligible to play finals for the Maggies?

Had Jacob Surjan not gone down with that shoulder injury, we woulda had him for the finals too.

Port will probably find a way around the rule.

No.The AFL's season is over that's just bad luck (and Karma).

North's team:

F: M.Campbell Hargraves Walker
HF: Gatto Alleway Wintle
C: Ryswyk Ladhams Bamford
HB: Ivens Coulter Martin
B: McIntyre Schubert D.Ebert

Ruck:O'Hara Howard Younie

Interchange: Wakelin R.Ebert Edwards

In:Wakelin, Edwards, R.Ebert

Out: Hudson (crows), Krieg (concussion), Koops (shoulder)

Also, North will be wearing a newly designed alternate guernsey for the game with the players name both on the front and back of the guernsey. I think its a one off and they'll be auctioned off on nafc.com.au
I'll reserve judgement till I see it.

Nah, that was the one we wore against West, it doesn't have the name on the front like the guernsey tomorrow night will.

Why are North doing these one-off alternate guernsey's? What meaning do they have and who would actually buy one?

I honestly don't know but there will be plenty of buyers, don't worry about that, North fans are freaks (myself included) when it comes to buying stuff like that.
I think all the players should just change their name to Mistral and that would kill 2 birds with one stone!

Hudson not named for North, club web-site indicates he has been omitted to the crows

My apologies pafc1870, I didn't realise you took that pic off the official website.
The official website and the newsletter the club sent out today seem to contradict each other.
The official website says "North's approved alternate Guernsey (pictured) will be worn this week against Port Adelaide."
Yet the newsletter that members got today in the post said "North has an approved alternate Guernsey which will be worn this week against Port Adelaide. The new design features the player's name on both the front and back of the jumper - a first for the SANFL."
So Im a bit confused, perhaps its just that alternate guernsey pictures with the names thrown on the front somewhere.
I'll find out it 24.6 hours time.

I remember when the Pies wore a guernsey based on our 1948 one which had names on the back, below the number, and I thought that looked pretty good.
