What handouts have the SAFC received from the SANFL or AFL?

As opposed to foley and rann pissing tax payers miney bailing out port against many creditors threatening to close port due to lack of repayments. Rob Lucas made a complaint about I believe.

So very very lucky they bank with a major sponsor and it would be bad PR for that sponsor to foreclose is all I can say.

Doesn't every club? North's extension would have been partly funded by the govt, Centrals extension will be federally funded.

The Council who own the facilities at Prospect got a Federal Govt. grant and North paid $1.8 million for the remainder. Not often Tenants pay for the improvements of the landlord! Although to be fair, we are currently working with the Prospect Council to have them take that loan over after all it is for improvements to their facility.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

i can understand the government and council handing out money for ground improvements, but can't see them handing out money to help a club pay off it debt.

Wasn't the Adelaide Oval upgrade negotiated and agreed at least in part to save the SANFL from the costs of subsidising the Power. ;)
Sure Milke Rann needed an alternative to the Libs proposal, and the SACA needed a bail out too.

But the taxpayers of SA shelled out big to subsidise the less than 2% of the population who ever attend the site.

Incorrect

SACA stated in a members email and maybe even in the media that they were happy with their debt levels and ability to service them. But if the Government is willing to pay them for you then why not take free money?

to a point there where many pro's for the adelaide oval upgrade. more profit for both afl clubs, help saca with their's and there was talk about using it for the commonwealth games or something like that. But Port Adelaide where never given any money directly from the government as far as I know, like UK is indicating.

OK.
So the needy beneficiaries were only the SANFL - and their major dependent - and Mike Rann. :)
