Thats why the boys are hell bent in winning the flag this year , as Fuller threatened to coach for another three years if they didn't.

In all seriousness i think Fuller has done a great job during his time , take away the no-shows at grand finals any other club bar the doggies would love to be around the mark like the Eagles have been whilst he has coached. I think he is due success.

MacGowan looks like he would be an ideal replacement.

Once again the rumour mill is running again and the season hasn't even finished. My bet is this is nothing but a rumour setup to destroy the eags finals campaign. What a load of garbage. My money is on an eags premiership and fuller to be in charge again in 2007.

Didnt he announce at the start of the season this would be his last anyway?

What will happen if you crash and burn in the finals/grand final again this year? Not only will you be out of pocket, but will Fuller stay?

I'd re-check your mail on this one, eaglehaslanded. Most of these other lads are more on the money in this one. But Mal - you're a bit out with Macgowan.

Who knows what will happen? Fuller has done a great job and has earnt the right to pick and choose when he wants to leave. I'm certain the next month or so is all that is on the minds of the Eagles coaching staff, players and administration at this stage.

Have noticed a big change in the way the Eagles are coached this year, with Luke Norman, MacGowan and a couple of others taking their specific groups at the breaks, with Fuller doing more one on one work before addressing the whole team before going back out to play. Fuller specifically mentioned the need to improve off-field over the off season last year and recruited people who could help him do that which is a credit to him and shows he has an open mind.

I think MacGowan would make an excellent coach of the Eagles in the future. I also think Andrew Rogers would be good and may be a future coach at the club as well.

Firstly I heard the statement that Ron Fuller would finish at the end of the year before this season started and that Rodgers would be the replacement coach then the two's started to win and Macgowans name was mentioned as the next coach. Then the CEO was interviewed before the south game on 5rph and he said (I think) that Ron had not made his mind up about next year or will continue to coach !!
So perhaps this is all just rumors by other teams !!

Pity MacGowan left North after a run in with Jars but that is hardly suprising as Jarman is all about himself and listens to no-one and is never wrong even when it is blindingly obvious. He shoots his gob off way too much for a league coach. At least he had the decency to apologise to Nick Lower and print it in his column in the 'tiser after his pathetic attempt at humour back fired.

Pity he can't apologise to his own supporters for calling them uneducated though but that would be beneath him as he is so bloody high and mighty.

BPBRB - what did Jarman do to upset the supporters?

Am close to a few of the players at the Eagles and I have it on pretty good authority that Fuller will definitely not be coaching next year if they do not win the flag. Not sure about Ricky becoming the next coach yet - he will be back at Doggy land next year in some capacity.

Mal - you're not fullersh*t on this one in most ways - but while macgowan may seem the logical choice, he is not the first choice.

Excuse my ignorance but is it a certainty that Ron Fuller won't be there in 2007?
