Fud jnr at this stage is very, very small. He has a lot of growing to do.

Ryan Burton, son of Craig, looks an absolute gun and must have kicked 5 goals. An indigenous lad called Agius must have kicked a bag too. He looked a champion in this comp. I don't know whether he is related to Ross or either of the Freddies. I know they are only under 16s and therefore too young to be certain of anything, but the wraps on him are huge.

Congrats Roosters.
You never know how many of those lads make it to League level but history will tell us that if 2 make it you have done well.

Yes. That is very true. I can go back to the 1980s when Norwood were winning heaps of junior flags and you look at the photos of the teams and virtually no one went on to play league. One year they killed a North side that had A Jarman, P Bennett and Simmons, three league premiership players yet the Norwood side didn't get a regular league player. North in 1987 did get 12 league players from their Under 17 premiership, which is freakish, but none of them really made a mark at North. There was a lad called Carey who did rather well at North Melbourne, Threadgold captained Sturt for years, MacGowan became a star at Central, A McAdam and Tongerie were shooting stars on the AFL horizon as was Hamilton who at least did play in a senior premiership at North. In addition Reeves, Timms, Hahn, Norton, Kavanagh and one other had league games without establishing themselves.

That is usually the way with underage teams, sometimes there are many who go on to play league games while other years none at all go through.

I remember when Peter Turner made his League debut for North, thought he'd be an absolute superstar - I doubt he even played much more than 100 or 150 games in total for North and the Crows.

Similarly, I think Sandersom debuted as a 15 year old for Sturt - only turned out to be fair to average AFL footballer.

Wanganeen and Hart obviously became elite after debuting at such a young age.

Based on total number of players whove played this game at the elite level and the number that go on to play 200 games I'd rate Sanderson as much better than average.

Unobtrusive yes, fair to average definately not.
