To All Glenelg supporters out there:
We are all needed to be at Adelaide Oval this Saturday to cheer the boys to a great win over the Panthers. Forget about the Crows as Footy Pk cost too much money for finals (put a video into the recorder and tape it). Gather around the ground with all your scarfes and colours and cheer like you have never done before and lets get the boys over the line.
See you all at the footy.
Troy

A white feather will be issued to those South and Glenelg supporters that rock up the week after, after going to the Crows on Saturday.
Last Friday I would have predicted 5000 watching if not for the change in schedule. I fear that it will now be under 2000, which would be totally undeserving for the players of these clubs who have got themselves to this point.
I'm sure the Crows wouldn't notice if you weren't there!

Doesn't a white feather indicate cowardness?

I would have thought that rather than creating an Attn thread - a simple PM to each and every Glenelg supporter would have sufficed...

Interesting to see the response of the bandwaggoner Crows supporters when Troy posted this same thread on BigFooty under the Crows forum!

The Crows are guaranteed of another home final, so even if people come and watch this match, you will still the Crows in action here again.

If I asked the question "how many of you Crows supporters are 1) over 30? 2) wave a Crows flag at the footy?" I fear that bandwith would be clogged for days with the affirmative replies, which would prove my point....

i had a look at the thread on BIGFOOTY
and its hard to believe these people calling themselves GLENELG supporters going to watch the LOLLIPOPS play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they arent GLENELG supporters and they probably only admit to that this year because we have had a pretty good year and are a win out of contesting the finals

I've even noticed a few comments stating theres a lot of daylight between Adelaide and Glenelg... and these are Glenelg (or should i say ex) supporters. Its a bit pathetic yet funny at the same time.

Some of your supporters don't even believe you still exist in the SANFL.

One of the great disapointments of the non double header is actually seeing what the crowd would have been for the 1st game. I think 4000 would have been tops. If it were at Noarlunga there would be 1500. Glenelg would have got 2500-3000. Adelaide was unlikely to attract more than the bay as the same amount of South turn up no matter what and the bays get their best showing at the bay. There would have a good portion of North and Port fans watching however.
In my opinion people are overestimating the amount of people that would have rocked up.

I'll be there, beats watching that AFL crap, plus its always safer being out of the house when the Crows play as Mrs Wedgie can get quite animated.

Absolute bulls..t , the most dumbest, ridicoluos, absurd, stupendous, draconian
and degrading AFL/SANFL rule which does not permit poor WILLETTS from being
able to play for Glenelg this week.
The star Glenelg defender played about 15 games for the bays and then played
about 3-4 games for Port Power.
Yet some players qualify after playing 3 games during the year and playing
nearly all year for the AFL teams.
CRAPP!

17 games actually.
I agree, it is a stupid rule. I understand why it was brought in, but the idiots who brought it in failed to forsee situations like that which Ryan Willets now finds himself in.
Simple fix: treat the final round just like the finals. A player can line up if he has qualified for the finals, or if his AFL team is still alive.
The finals qualification rules could also be reviewed. Ronny was on to something when he suggested raising the minimum # of games.
