Well done to Port, were far more harder at it and fully deserved to win.
Norwood have a couple of players who should be looking over their shoulder next week.

An especially excellent result for Port, as it means that they are still a chance to reclaim the Williams-Gallagher Cup in their final season. The Friday night clash in round 18 will certainly be match of the round.

Wouldn't members and supporters want to know Bassett's thoughts about the game rather than nothing at all?

Well done Port, tip my hat to them.

Considering Port have defeated North and Norwood in recent weeks plus gave West a scare too, interested to see how they play over the next month or so. Could really set up their season and influence the finals.

Could definately do some damage. Not sure if they can make finals though, its either them or Centrals for 5th.

Considering the dogs 'could' be sitting 4th this time tomorrow I think the Eagles are from guaranteed 4th spot

For those that went today, did port allow norwood a +1 in the backlines or did they play even numbers.

West finally did this in the 3rd and 4th quarter last week against norwood and the contest was much more even.

Also an interesting post on the other forum about the players port would gain if they were the AFL reserves team. It would be ridiculous - It must not happen!

Another haul of marks by Beard - he's taken 43 in the Port's last three games/wins.

We didn't get an official figure from the SANFL officials, but said on air with RPH that it looked to be about the 4,000 mark.

The ABC want to ensure that all clubs get at least one or two home games broadcast. Yes, the Norwood v Port game would have been better to broadcast, even disregarding the thrilling finish, but that's just the way it is...
