The final margin was flattering to Glenelg ... Sturt should have won by at least 7 goals.
Highlight of the day was Jumbo Prince's speech to the crowd before the game, and the bear hug he received from Hodgey, but it went all downhill from there.
If you had counted the goals kicked by players who have played the majority of their career at Glenelg, then the Bays would have won by 12 goals.
Appalling skills by both sides but Sturt were less appalling ... well done.
Excited about what the remainder of the season will bring ...

The final round to end the pain?

Agree, pretty poor skills on both sides. Sturt's intensity was down on last week but agree that we should've won by more, bad kicking for goal also affected the margin. Great to string two in a row, sad to hang your hat on that but one of the wins is against a finals contender at least. A good win all the same and a win without Jaensch, Martin, Graham and Adelaide returns. Our kids are coming on well, Kelly, Calabrese, Crocker, Krause, Page, Harms and Greenslade, good to see slightly older players like Hurley and Fraser Evans find their feet also.
Always good to beat the Bays. Good turnout too.

It can be a double celebration: Glenelg's spoon and Port's last game at league level.
If you don't bring some spoons to pass around then I'll be disappointed...

Sturt is below average.
Glenelg is far, far worse.
The scoreboard almost - almost - made Glenelg look competitive. Count the scoring shots for a true reflection of the game.
At least the banter was good...

We saw Kate Ellis! We had banter with Kate Ellis - and Penbo! See, the day wasn't a total writeoff.

can anyone confirm what happened at the end of the Reserves?
Did I hear right that the scoreboard had it as a draw at final siren
BUT
when goal umpires checked in the middle there was an error and Glenlelg won by 1 point.
just wanted a confirmation.

What you heard was incorrect I believe. The Bays won the ressies by 1 point, and from where I was watching the scoreboard was showing correct weight well before the final siren.
p.s. our anthem got played this week!

Three bloody times....
There was no issue with the reserves score on the main scoreboard - but perhaps that little scoreboard in the southwestern pocket was in error? I noticed at quarter time of the main game it incorrectly had the Bays as 2.1, not 1.2.
