North Adelaide v Glenelg
Sunday 25 August – 2.10pm @ Prospect Oval – Life FM

North

North Adelaide captain Greg Gallman will make his long-awaited comeback against Glenelg at Prospect Oval on Sunday.

Sidelined since Round 2 with a seriously broken jaw, the former Crow has now overcome his recent groin ailment to be named in the Roosters’ 22-man squad to face the Tigers.

The key defender has been joined by ruckman Justin Schahinger on the extended interchange bench while Power utility Nathan Blee returns from an AFL stint and Matthew Westhoff has been named in the forward pocket.

Former Carlton utility Joe Anderson will miss the match due to personal reasons while Luke Teasdale has been omitted.

Norwood recruit Tom Langford couldn’t be considered due to a groin injury.

Veteran midfielder Tim Delvins will return from a back complaint in the reserves.

Glenelg

Glenelg captain Ty Allen will make a return from a calf strain against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval on Sunday.

Allen, who was injured against South Adelaide in Round 16, has been named in the forward pocket to confront the Roosters.

His ball-winning ability will be a welcome addition to the midfield rotation considering the Tigers have lost rugged Tom Logan to AFL duty with Port Adelaide.

Former Hawthorn utility Riley Milne, ex-Central District forward James Lawton and tough-tackling Matt Snook have also been added to the Tigers’ 23-man squad.

Crows forward Shaun McKernan has been claimed for AFL duty despite struggling against Norwood last Sunday.

Veteran midfielder Kane Tenace will return from a persistent hamstring strain in the reserves after being named in the centre square.

Glenelg's best chance to knock off North this year. Let's see which North can turn up, the one that demolished Port, The Bays & South, or the one that has capitulated to Central, Sturt & the Eagles since then.

C"MON COCKS!!

So you beat up on the teams outside the 5 and cant get within cooee of the teams in the 5. To me, that points to mental application. Not good at this time of year to question the teams focus.

North by 54 points.

I was referring to Ian noting your capitulation against Central and the Eagles in recent weeks.

Well that is mental no doubt unless our players have lost their ability?

The side is very unsettled at the moment with far too many changes this close to finals IMO.

If Glenelg replicate last weeks effort they'll win.
I have my doubts they will and I'll be praying for more rain before Sunday.

Totally agree with that comment Glenelg can win with a similar effort.
Good luck to the young lady umpiring, think she can become a good umpire.
