I mentioned during the wrap up of the RPH call at The Bay today that it looked like Tigers champ Ben Mules was wiping tears from his eyes as he left Gliderol Stadium after the loss to the Magpies.

Ben announced his retirement from SANFL football in the rooms, post game.

Congratulations on a great career, Mulesy...

He deserved better.

I don't think he got the accolades he deserved. I always enjoyed watching him play.

Here's a highlights package I did for Ben for his 200th game earlier this year.

Always played like a bloke devoted to his footy club. Well done on an excellent career, the Bays and Sanfl are poorer for his retirement.

The SANFL will be just fine, we got the crows now.

And Mules was always an opposition player I enjoyed watching, we'll done to him on his career.
