Like Norwood, we can replace those home grown players moving to the AFL teams (Porps, Laird) now. Our ban finishes mid December anyway.

It stopped us from recruiting players for this season.

He and Mangan were signed before the penalty was imposed. They were our only recruits.

It really hasn't hurt them then.

Nathan Batsanis is doing the pre-season with Richmond, interesting for NFC fans hoping to get him back.

When he was on the Power list, he wasn't exactly tearing it up for the Eagles. Played mostly reserves, from memory...

One of those guys that just takes a little longer to amture than others. Is a very good state league player, IMHO...

At the time, I rated him. He had a couple of good games, one at Glenelg IIRC, but he did play mostly in the reserves so I guess he did struggle with consistency. Was not surprised though when he had a good season last year at Norwood.

Got off to a good start with the club, announcing his move to West on twitter before West had a chance to announce it forcing them to move quick
