Well that didn't take long !
Leigh Wicker suggesting on 5AA tonight that a Crows vs Power game on Anzac Day next year would be a good curtain raiser for an AFL game scheduled at Adelaide Oval that evening.
What a joke, what about the previous years Grand Finalists.
I hope Norwood fans remind Tripodi of the YES vote if this comes to fruition and their club has lost the opportunity to enjoy that great tradition.

That was a grab from FiveAA's interview on Grand Final day with Lee up in the box...
It's a no-brainer that Norwood and North should player on April 25th next year...

Might be a no brainer but why let common sense and fairness get in the way of the AFL juggernaut.

If the AFL hand the Crows v Power an Adelaide Oval ANZAC Day game u can 100% guarentee there will be an SANFL reserves showdown curtain raiser

No the Crows are trying to get the Hawks on the night of ANZAC day as a permanent fixture.
They then want to play the Crows v Port Reserves sides as a curtain raiser.
I hope a legitimate club never plays a curtain raiser. I wont ever attend a Norwood game that is a curtain raiser

Just talk and suggestions at this stage. Mr. Whicker has a short memory.
Can I remind you that Norwood in the conditions it negotiated on behalf of ALL clubs ....... there would be NO curtain raisers to AFL games for SANFL clubs.
What Port and Crows do is no concern to the real SANFL clubs. If the AFL grant a permanent Anzac fixture to the Crows and someone else so be it .... nothing we can do about that.

Yes. And saved 3 clubs from extinction. Purely self interest.

Ah yes but if Port plays Crows on ANZAC day as curtain raiser at the same time as the Norwood/North game the crowd and atmosphere will be affected. Somehow i doubt Port would agree to a curtain raiser for the Crows benefit

Been discussed a thousand times elsewhere but lets wait and see.
Better to work with the cxxxs than in opposition to them.
Just gives me the shits that every one blames Norwood which was the only club to put forward and gained some concessions when the result was a forgone conclusion.

It wasn't a foregone conclusion until you guys rolled over and did a swift backflip on your NO position. 3 NO's where all that was required.

Agree with ur first paragraph, but seriously are Norwood really trying to write the second part into the history books, they were forced to vote yes once the decision was decided
What a joke surely your not that gullable, clearly wasn't a forgone conclusion as two clubs voted no so that theory is shot right there

Be great if it happens. Whicker obviously has the best interests of the sanfl in mind. It will be great for all the crows members and could have quite a big influence on the crows average crowd attendance expectations (4,000). I wonder if honest joe forgot to negotiate this little chestnut to benefit his club. Although backflips can be expected by all parties. Might turn out a lost opportunity for a few thousand dollars, but st least they'll potentially get the $40k and some of their penàlties for cheating are lifted. The bad joke continues.
