Probably got the pick of Port's outs in Beard, he sure's up their defence. He might get a bit of work though, midfield losses to Adelaide will hurt badly.

Can't see them in the 5.

How many games did their AFL guys play last year?

My guess would be
Martin + Jaensch = 20 games combined
Tambling + Riley + Kerridge = 20
Graham + rest. = 20 games.

If they got 20 games each out of Tambling, Beard and Kirkwood this year they could at least break even with AFL losses, if not be in front. Not sure the AFL player loss is that damaging for them.

Did anyone go and have a look at the trial game on saturday? From all reports we were competative for the first half and then rested half a dozen senior players for the last half.

I think Sturt and the Eagles had 120 games plus from their AFL players. They were certainly the leading two.

120+ sounds too high. By my quick count Sturt were more like 103 and Eagles were just under 70 league games played by AFL players last year.
