That looks a good team. Might be a good game. Looking forward to it.

Will be interesting to see the impact live coverage has on the crowd not to mention the different dynamics of the 10 team league.

Rnd 1 - Norwood v Port Adelaide @ Coopers (Thur N 3/4)

Postby Jim05 » Wed Apr 02, 2014 6:30 pm

Looking at those sides I still think we are in with a massive shot. Port have a couple of decent AFL players but there also is a few spuds not up to SANFL ressies standard.

Two pretty interesting teams. Port has good midfield options, a strong defence but a god awful forward line. Norwood with plenty of pace through the midfield.

I think its definitely 50/50 this one. I think port will have plenty of the ball but not sure we'll kick a winning score.

So do Port reserves play at 4:30pm or 7:15pm ?

FFS, get over it and deal with it.

This from the Norwood site , previewing the match

7 Mate is not only the tv station this game will be broadcast on, but also the answer to how many Port juniors are representing the Magpies AND Power jumper this week. 3 of those 7 are named on the Magpies extended bench.

That's a pretty impressive player assessment based on not a shot fired in anger. You must have heaps of knowledge about the playing potential of that bunch of no names lining up in the Red and Blue.

The Port Adelaide Magpies will win, wearing their classic Black and White strip and will sing, " Cheer, cheer the Black and the White....." In celebration afterwards.

Yes they are no names but I have seen most of our players in action and can safely say the worst player on our list is still a better player than Hitchcock.
Still 8 Premiership players out there for us so I cant see it being the walk in the park for you guys like everyone thinks

We will be up for the game against these wharfie scum. Call them what you want but if they are wearing black and white and call themselves Port then they are the old foe called wharfie scum.

We have some good pace through the midfield. There defense is solid but we have some useful forwars power down there. I reckon our defense can get on top and it will be interesting to see where there goals will come from.

Im tipping Norwood by 1 -2 goals.

So you have the same thoughts about the Port Kembla Blacks?

Port will have too much pace and have an edge in the contested ball department imho, so I get the feeling it could be a long night tonight.
