CUTTERMAN wrote:Yeh I heard that JK, was a bit surprised also. They totally overlook that the VFL is compromised by numerous salary caps for stand alone clubs, aligned clubs and AFL reserves clubs. At least they acknowledged the farce that it is. There's been a few grumblings in the VFL about starting a break away comp that doesn't include AFL alignments. If Williamstown's appeal doesn't get through I wonder if it will add a bit of fuel to the fire.

Did I read an article correctly that it wasn't only McEvoy that had not played enough games to qualify, it was also Shoemakers as well. I'm sure that's what I read, so if that's the case then good luck to Williamstown with that appeal. I wouldn't be happy if my opponent just brought in a AFL standard Ruckmen and then a Key defender as well that did not qualify. Poor decision from AFL Victoria.

As for the breakaway competition, it all comes down to the umber of clubs that will follow them. But hey it could happen. I guess they would call it something silly like the VFL......

I read it as they could choose either Shoenmaker or McEvoy.
"AFL Victoria notified Williamstown and its semi-final opponent Werribee last Friday that if Hawthorn defeated Geelong in its AFL qualifying final that night it would grant the Hawks' VFL affiliate, Box Hill, permission to play either McEvoy or Ryan Schoenmakers in this Sunday's second preliminary final, despite the fact neither Hawk had played the minimum six VFL games required to play finals."

Yep I'm on the same opinion mate, think they only applied for McEvoy. As the blokes on SEN have said, Ceglar is actually qualified to play this weekend but the Hawks want some game time into McEvoy.

I've sent in emails when Rowe has been advocating for SANFL players to be picked up by AFL clubs in a mid season draft suggesting that if he's advocating for SANFL clubs to be totally stuffed around in this way he should resign from his state duties.....didn't get read out. Shortly after an email gets read out that suggests it'd be great for this to happen.

And if a miracle happened to acknowledge the farce the SANFL has become, Dumb & Dumber will use South as their reference for the 6 other SANFL sides and how they should go about it..........
They rattle on about uneven draws and timeslots like it's the end of the world yet we can't have a pure 8 team SANFL comp to follow
Tell me now why the two cancers couldn't have played in our ressie comp?

Come on fella's, fire up. We've crawled through the 110's.

I'll get it going again,

I think it's wonderful that we have Adelaide and Port reserves in our comp.
and I think they both should get wild cards that let them play finals no matter where they finish in the minors.

If it wasn't for them we'd not have a comp at all.

Ring up and tell them you want to talk about whatever they're talking about at the time then when you get on air talk about what you actually want to talk about. You'll probably get cut off and dumped but it's worth a go.

Fantastic had FOUR BYES when my poor club played against the AFL PARASITES.

Had a great time lost weekends fishing gardening time with family holidaying partying drinking etc etc you name it absloutely beautiful.

So how did it work out for the Crows having all their pretty boys playing with each other and then showering together did they like it ????

I think it really worked well they all learnt how to lose as a team and it sure helped them develop and making the finals !!!! NOT !!!!

Comment Triggy Burtenshaw anyone with any common sense.

Thats right !!!!!!!
