Not a level playing field he is not wrong there!

Port Adelaide & Adelaide salary cap 12.5 Million
SANFL Clubs 400,000

On top of that Port & Adelaide get a marquee player outside the cap what a joke.

Either all clubs should get a marquee player or scrap it all together!

I agree every club should have a Sutcliffe or a Wright, I'll take a Partington or a Grigg anyday thankyou very much. Cuckoo

Would just be a whole lot simpler if you were capped at 12 AFL players per game

Probably find both clubs would have played no more than 12 players who have played an AFL game ;)

The answer is simple Koch: piss off out of the league. Go and join the VFL or some other comp where most of the participants have the same "restrictions". To field a side in the SANFL then whine about the conditions is like buying a house under the flight path and then complaining about the noise.

Will still be this format for the next 3 years atleast. A National reserves comp could happen if the AFL get what they want in the next broadcasting deal.

Have to give credit to Port, they've always been very good at convincing their supporters nonsense like 'the world's against us', 'we're oneclub', 'never tear us apart', etc.

Just wondering in regards to what Laird mentioned about the changes for 2019, what was the amount of AFL listed players the reserves sides could use for finals before? I heard that the real SANFL clubs wanted to change the number but the AFL reserves said no? Pretty amazing that the unwashed believe they're hard done by. Can't see why as mentioned above all the real SANFL clubs shouldn't be allowed a marque player too. Where have the restrictions gone for the AFL sides to recruit ex SANFL players, is that still in place? I think they had to be out of the system for a minimum of two seasons or something like that. You would think being able to field the leftover AFL players from your AFL side would be enough of an advantage but apparently it's everyone else's fault for them not recruiting well enough too. Hopefully when the review is done a few of these restrictions are increased until they piss off to the VFL reserves in a few years.

Enough is enough, they're (AFL) well and truly taking the piss with the mid season draft and now wanting to change our rules. The last touched out of bounds rule works great, i hated it at the start but now it takes out any confusion (unless you're a crows or power supporter come finals time) and has increased scoring and the flow of the game. 50 meter penalty i'm not fussed about and the same with the interchange cap. We shouldn't be decreasing the salary cap, that's obvious to everyone that it will only benefit every other league not ours. Hopefully someone high up in the SANFL has a spine and stands up to this but i've got my doubts.

They will just blame others if they leave . I can hear it now . They cant afford to leave the SANFL and they know it . SANFL clubs should really step up when this "contract" expires. Poison .

Dribble but funny you mention Poison, the singer of that band is Brett Michaels, 2 names you'd be familiar with.

Koch your SANFL side has made 3 Grand Finals in the last 6 years. Hardly struggle town. It's part of feeding the flock with this victim mentality that is too well nurtured to be healthy or remotely accurate.
