The latest lame excuse is it’s the lack of access to the SAnFL digital pass for crows has kept the 4000 fans away.

And yes people are serious about this.

Even though crows fans get in for free.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse.

Oh and SANFLs fault of course.

AFL club jobs always come with a copy of “ The Game “ by Paul Joseph Goebbels ;)

Noticing the early AFL retirements this year? Wondering why? Mid Season draft, get ready.

Watch players get plucked from state leagues and not play an AFL game, teams get the right to sign them full time at the end of the year if they draft them now, so some clubs will grab them now while they have the opportunity to beat other clubs, to get them into their system and prepare for a pre-season and 2020 season.

Worse if a SANFL player gets picked up by Crows or Port, they go straight to your opposition.

So what happens next year when SANFL clubs look to recruit? I would suggest they will start ignoring kids who miss the draft (19yos) and maybe go for more mature aged recruits who have had their AFL chance. Im not sure that is what the AFL would want but it may become the new norm for clubs who want to make sure they look after their investment in recruits.

Maybe if one of your recruits gets drafted it may actually help with recruiting next year. Players might see your club as a good choice because it could help them get drafted. Might lose 1 or 2 but could be ahead in the long run.

Yeah it’s a shame it does depend on that.
Glenelg and Norwood wouldn’t have got close to port today either.

It is what it is though.

What’s a shame is that the qualification rules aren’t tough enough.
Far too much leeway given to the AFL sides

The advert on TV last night, "Watch all the local footy action this weekend in the AFL's state leagues,
bit by bit, slowly but surely, they're eroding any relevance we have.

Currently crows have no one qualified to play so would need to seek permits. Rules are

Maximum 16 AFL listed + Wright or 17 AFL Listed without Wright
MOre SANFl than AFL games
3 games after June 30

So next week a few will qualify as it will be the third game after June 30.

Thats the rules if Adelaide are knocked out of the finals. While they are still playing only the first criteria matters. They can play anyone up to 16+Wright. SAme with Port .

What a wonderful comp the sanfl is. Now we have the sanfl hierarchy espousing how wonderful this season has been with increased crowds (average about 1500 I reckon) and increased interest on TV by the brilliant afl centric 7. What a load of hogwash, the comp just now used as it always has been since 2014 as a afl practice ground. This week we have aflpa playing their captain and top 2019 recruit up against a team of part timers who have to work full time. These tow would be on a salary at least 5 times the total club salary cap that they will play against A level playing field be buggered What absolute crap. the best thing that can happen to this comp is for a PA v Crows GF and then that is it

Well it will be mission accomplished (Complete rape of the comp) by the afl but I am sure there would be 50000 sheep like attendees at the GF mainly with free tickets issued to show how great it is

Yep. This is what is needed to make six clubs see sense.

sadly the hierarchy of the clubs that, despite their members wishes, opted for this debacle are on too good a wicket to have the guts to challenge any thing the sanfl under the likes of olsen (say no more) decide. Might as well do a breakaway revolt as start a ethical comp which it once was

Port v Norwood would attract close to 50 thousand, no sheep though.

Well last GF we played it was about 70/30 split Norwood’s way in crowd

Did you have a sheep counter?
