Noticed Sam Lonergan is playing tonight in the EJ Whitten game, over at Etihad...

Of course, it is for a great cause, but it is a bit of risk playing and getting injured...

It is Glenelg, we don't like Mouse playing in the pre-season but we let players go overseas mid season and play games during the week.

Very unusual decision. One of the bays key (and expensive) recruits, isn't he?

Maybe he was in Melbourne catching up with his legal team and used the EJ Whitten game as his "I promise to train whilst away".

My bad, I spelt his surname wrong, initially...

It is Sam Lonergan, not Lonegran...

Hearing that he defied the Bays request to not play in the game...

Will ask Nick Stevens about it tonight when we speak to him on the Thursday Night RPH SANFL Show...

Going to be a live cross from the Footy Show tonight to get an update on this close battle that may have to go to penalties to get a winner.

Why is Goldsworthy not in the side. Two weeks in a row out. I know he hasn't had the best season but he would surely present a better option than Blesing, Appleton, Schwarz??? If it is Goldsworthy's form that has been the issue than surely Poole must also be hovering on the edge of getting dropped. Had a great game about 5 matches ago wheree he kicked a few goals but since then has been MIA

no need to stress ... you could field a team of Oompa Loompas and still manage a 10 goal win.

Didn't realise Goldsworthy played Reserves last game. WTF? Has he really been that bad? They might as well put him in as Ruck and play the extra runners if they can't fit him in elsewhere.

Nothing against McGregor, Poole, Kane etc. but they aren't in the same league as Goldsworthy in terms of class. Something obviously not right at Oval Ave. Is Goldsworthy going to be the 2014 version of Sumner?

A decision that is hard to understand from the outside.

If we were going to field a team of Oompa Loompas, Goldsworthy would be in, alongside Poole, Boyd, McGregor, Lloyd etc. Small is the new ginger at Oval Ave.

And what if you are both small and ginger?

I like Goldy but has he been hampered by injury this year ? His first week in the seconds he got touches all be it mainly in the second half .
