I heard that the SANFL reversing the order of finals matches to give higher ranked teams more time to recover, does 3hrs really make a difference? ??

Week 2 of the finals confirmed...
http://www.sanfl.com.au/news/sanfl_news/2637/1st Semi Final - Sturt v South @ 2:40pm
2nd Semi Final - Port v Norwood @ 5:40pm
Obviously at Adelaide Oval, still...

So last week the SANFL decided to play Norwood and Sturt first, partly on the premise of having earned an extra 3hrs of recovery time (LOL).
This week, the lowest two teams get the extra 3hrs of recovery time?
WTF is with their logic in changing their minds on scheduling?

Channel 7 want the Port v Norwood game on TV between the AFL finals would be my guess.

That time suits me fine.

Makes sense.
I have seen more sanfl games this year than almost any other. Not really because it's on Ch7, but because it's usually not clashing with afl

The SMA would also like maximum time to prepare the oval surface for the AFL game the next day....

Which is why I thought they might schedule Norwood vs Port at 12.30pm and Sturt vs South at 3.30pm.

But then that doesn't fit in with the TV scheduling.....this does both, satisfies TV and gives max prep time for the AFL the next day...

Will reserves and 18s finals be free entry, or free for members, or will be there be a gate fee of some sort?

Last time I attended these finals it was $2 for everyone over 16. Granted this was a few years ago now....

Good to see south playing in the first game so if it is close, we will need the Port and Norwood supporters to help us get the guys over the line. Enjoy the Chris Gowan's tweet about jumping on the wagon, if only he did it while he was still playing.

I know it has been told before, but the Gowans' twins almost went to South Adelaide...
But, they weren't as impressed with Greg Anderson as they were with Peter Jonas and thought that Noarlunga was too far away !!!
Being Northern suburbs boys from Melbourne, they wanted to stick with that geographical theme here in Adelaide, as well
