I was abhorred to see the atrocity North will be wearing for the Darwin trip:
Almost as bad but not quite are the supporters tops:
Luckily for supporters the package being offered is a lot more attractive than the tops, now if I can only talk Mrs Wedgie around....

The supporters polo looks like it would be right at home on the bowling green.

No, it's not the worst guernsey of all time- we're wearing it as a one-off, and for that purpose, I like it (much better than that abomination last yr re: Nwd & North v Cows). Also, no Eagles supporters should ever comment on any jumper till they fix their technicolour yawn!
PS since when has Wintle been "23"?
Also, my 150 up*

The only possible justification for it is that it must look a lot better in real life than in the drawing.
Fingers crossed.
Looks like a drunken version of the Centrals white thing in the 80s.(minus the blue)

Mrs Wedgie just looked at it and said it was gay.
Why did we get a lawn bowler to design them?
I could have done a much better job and I'm crap at graphic design.
Curves DO NOT belong on footy guernseys, they're suppose to be STRONG in design.
Maybe the ploy was to get the Northern Territory side laughing so hard they wouldn't kick a goal?
Will North have a new nick name of the Lizards in 06?

Feb 4th.
They've put a great supporters package together which includes flights up there and back as well as 3 nights accomodation at a 4 star hotel for $600.
Pretty good considering its about $300 one way with Qantas normally.
If I can find the $$ I think I might be able to talk Mrs Wedgie into letting me go, fingers crossed!

I never commented on the guernsey. I thought that everyone seems to say how bad the yellow jumper is, so I asked Wedgie if this is worse than that one.
That question is put to everyone else as well.

That jumper is fine as a once off. I like it, and I'm not ashamed to say so!!

I don't mind the Eagles yellow guernsey to be honest.
I think North would only want to wear that top above only once anyway, but good on them for adding a NT flavour into the top and maybe some locals will appreciate that and prefer North over other SANFL teams in the future.

Geez Wedgie, although I don't particullary like this guernsey, it's not worse than the Eagles yellow puke, and it's still got a bit more colour than the old Centrals soccer top. I can live with it as a one of, but I would hate to see it used as a regular top.
PS: my 11 yo son thinks it looks "cool"
Go UUUU Lizards

I don't mind the Eagles yellow tops, mainly because its such a contrast to everything else in the SANFL.
Mind you after the way it performed in the 2004 GF I was suprised they'd ever wear it again.

Everyone- I was sledging the Eagles Blue jumper- Imo, the worst jumper design (although the WCE have a shocker with orange in it)
Spell Check- maybe I should've put a

next to my post! It wasn't directed at you, but generally!
Hats off to North for having vision to put a NT flavour to the jumper.
I like it as a once off jumper. FFS< anyone would think this was North's new H&A jumper!

Punky, I think its great North have a one off jumper for the trip, hell if I had my way every team would have at least 2 guernseys for the normal SANFL season for marketing purposes.
I'm not having a go at the club for doing something different, I just don't like the design.
Its not even the lizards or the white, I actually would like more white in our strip, I love the 30s guernsey, its mainly just the curved desgin of it all.
Perhaps we whould have changed the Vee into a boomerang on our normal guernsey?
I'm one of the few people who don't just get blinded because my club does something I like it, I speak my thoughts.
Hopefully I'll be going on the trip, I might even buy a NT guernsey just to stir a few up if they're for sale. I've got a couple of half uncles up there that I've never met so I'm really looking forward to it.
Anyway, I'm sure we'll discuss it over a few beers tomorrow night, should be a good one.
I assume you're going?

Jeez, a winkie thing for you to Sledgie!

I wasn't singling anybody out with my comments. Yes, I do follow my club blindly (uless there's a Gaynelg misfit in charge...

). There's only 1 way to do things, & that's the North way!
