For those of you against the AFL-isation of the competition, another blow.
I believe the AFL-sized goalposts at Norwood Oval are there to stay.

Think the ones at West are worth $30k. So would expect they would be the same at Norwood.

Taller goal posts are "another blow"? This is getting weird.

The boundary lines are also 4mm wider than the SANFL lines.

This is absurd!

I'm boycotting further matches at the Parade.

Alberton hosted one last year, they probably want to share it around a bit

They could just saw the tops off and have spares for the mini-league.

I'm not a Port-hater, but have a question for Port supporters. Did you feel at all weird about the PAFC hosting a game at Norwood Oval? Surely for those of you who have followed Port all our lives and hate Norwood with a passion, it must've felt a bit un-Port like?

In a word, "meh".

It's a practice match, members got free entry, so hardly a money spinner. While there was (IIRC) 9000 people or thereabouts spending on catering, it's no real issue for mine. We played at Richmond last year.

More of a waste is the last NAB game against Adelaide is at Footy Park, seriously, WTF? The place has been laying idle for nearly 2 years now. Besides a One D "concert", they'll have to stock everything up, fire up the kegs etc....what an absolute waste.

I'd rather that be at another SANFL venue. Why not the clubs who need it the most, get it? Glenelg could do with some extra coin, send the people down there to buy pies and beers.

I know this will prompt a laugh, but...

The location of trial game venues would have been set quite a while ago. It's probable Glenelg was not considered because, wait for it...the possibility of SA hosting the Shield Final. I know, it's funny.

I'm also assuming that there would be a cost involved in going to another suburban ground, as upgrades, such as goalposts, take place for the occasion.

Then, of course, there would be the politics involved in going to another suburban ground, such as Centrals or Westies, when others haven't had games.

So, with Adelaide Oval, out of commission due to the World Cup, Pleurisy Park it is.

I'm sure all of these points can't be right, but the first one is a possibility, I reckon.

Maybe the crows are planning something?
