South may have got rid of the smell by game time.

Sturt are one win and one loss after this week they will of two of one and one of the other

My tip: Park around the ground and think why do they play day games in April and Night games in August?

Got to be a better option than watching your mob play a trial match...

South will want to atone for last week's "effort". Matches between the clubs have been tight the past 2 or 3 years, last year's semi the obvious exception.

Ah Chee, Dale and Rolfe named in the magoos best last week. Would like to see all 3 included.

Panthers by less than 20 points.

South have a quality list and what happened last week against port will happen to the other clubs until the maggies get injuries ( just like start of last season ).

Different days but despite Alberton being a 10 min drive Noarlunga does appeal more on Sunday.

Soufs side:

SOUTH
South Adelaide coach Brad Gotch has added three players to his squad to face Sturt at Hickinbotham Oval on Sunday.
Refusing to wield the axe despite last round’s 66-point loss to Port Adelaide, Gotch has rewarded the Reserves form of Roland Ah Chee (36 disposals) and Peter Rolfe (21 disposals) while wingman Adam Gulden has recovered from a hamstring strain.
All three players have been named on the five-man extended interchange bench.
Former Carlton utility Frazer Dale will have to bide his time in the seconds despite collecting 42 disposals, 10 marks and 13 clearances in the Reserves against Port last Friday night.

League
F: Irra, Eddy, Macleod
HF: Cross, Haren, Rankine
C: Liddle, Veide, Rose
HB: Giddings, Crabb, Murphy
B: Overall, Cailotto, P. Kerin

R: Bass, Seccull, Gotch
INT: Daniel, Gulden, Rolfe, Heaslip, Ah Chee

STURT
Sturt coach Seamus Maloney has thrust Christian Calabrese into the centre square for the clash with South at Hickinbotham Oval on Sunday.
The Double Blues’ most consistent performer in the Reserves this season, Calabrese looms as the logical replacement for Norwood recruit Mark Evans. Evans is expected to miss at least a month after damaging the ligaments in his shoulder against Glenelg last Saturday.
Experienced forward Matt Duldig and possible debutant Sam Jonas have been added to the extended interchange bench. Jonas (185cm and 83kg) is the younger brother of Power defender Tom Jonas.

League
F: Taggert, Bruggemann, Hansen
HF: Hone, Smith, Staple
C: O’Grady, Calabrese, Paynter
HB: Harms, Coad, Page
B: Stephens, Beard, Bartlett

R: Kurtze, Battersby, Greenslade
INT: F. Evans, Kirkwood, Allen, Duldig, Jonas
IN: Calabrese, Duldig, Jonas
OUT: M. Evans (shoulder)

Reserves
Wiech, Calabrese, Duldig, Stark, Matsen, Lienert, Penfold, Gilfoy, Samblich, Dougall, Irving, Kluvanek, Carey, Dunkley, Jonas, Stapleton, Campbell, Hargreaves, Voigt, Newell, Coombes, Parella.

Sturt played some good footy in patches last week. The DB's by around 3-5 goals if they can kick straight

Will be a close game.

Don't think Rolfe will play IMO . Looked very average after playing reserves last week.

My heart says South by 10 points.

Sturt by 4-5 goals
South seem a bit lost at the moment.
Didn't recruit that well to cover their loses.
Hope I'm wrong go panthers

Everyone thinks we had these massive losses and we simply slide.....we recruited well and will be right there when the whips are cracking.

I didn't, thought the mighty 'Thers would be around the mark again. Only loss I really worried about was Brooksby as he was outstanding in an important position. I hope they make the GF this year, be good to see my daughter out on Adelaide Oval GF Day running water for the 'Thers! :)

Important win, given last week's performance and the fact that South and Sturt will be eyeing top 3 spots. Game was played with a 3-4 goal breeze favouring the Northern end. Fairly even contest all day, with South kicking 6 goals in the final 10-12 minutes of the 3rd term with the wind to break the match open, a few of which were pretty soft/easy. Sturt challenged again though, booting 4 in the opening 10 minutes of the last before South managed to shut the game down.

Hard to argue with the better players named by the club. Cross was everywhere, 10 clearances and kicked a couple of great goals. Rose shut out Hanson while getting plenty of it himself, while a few guys who had been quiet in the opening rounds had better days out (Irra, Overall, Murphy, Macleod..). Still a bit sloppy at times though, mucking around at half back and turning the ball over, resulting in Sturt goals. Got slaughtered in ruck but won the clearances well. Had a few decision go our way infront of goal that helped.

After last week, enjoyed watching a match contested between two sides with the same objectives and preparation, and with two supporter groups who were vocal and passionate in support. Crowd was about 2100.

Happy to be proven wrong.
I thought with the loss of thewlis, brooksby and feilds we didntvseem to cover, I do like bass he gives his all.
I wasn't that confident and the 1st quater we were wasteful.
However then next 3/4 we played a lot better ahchee, Rankin 2 that impressed me today.
