Was about 15 metres from Josh Coulter when he got hurt.It seemed such a trivial contact and I was pretty surprised how he went down. Looked to me,after watching the big screen replay, like he was struck a glancing blow when Luke Cowan raised his arms to contest the ball.It just looked so harmless and it was odd how Josh seemed preoccupied with holding his ear. From the moment he hit the ground to when he went down the race on very rubbery legs he did not take his hand off it,so to speak.I'm just wondering if he really is concussed or perhaps has a busted eardrum and what the implications of that maybe.

Yeah I was about 5 metres away from it as I was waiting for the half time siren to take the banner back to the carpark. Someone afterwards said they'd thought he'd been king hit but I agree with Kahuna and so does everyone else that saw it on TV that I talked to, seemd to just go up in a marking contest and come down holding his ear. Josh's a tough SOB and he seemed extremely distraught, must have just been very unlucky and got hit in the wrong place, I almost thought he'd blown an ear drum the way he was holding his ear and curling his legs up in extreme agony, it was quite distressing.

All the clubs are being very coy about their injury lists! Cant blame them I suppose but cant believe them either.

From seeing it on TV it would be fair to say he has a busted jaw and would not play this week?

I love it how the injuries reported for some players are just a "smokescreen" for their real injury. Anyone on Sunday who saw Koops doing a few laps around the outer would be staggered how bad his shoulder is because the injury has spread from the shoulder to his leg area because he was limping quite badly! Make of that what you will?

Should the SANFL clubs be more accurate in their assessments of injuries and naming of teams and report correctly to the media outlets so the fans know the real story?

I sometimes wonder if it would be better if teams and in depth articles were in the paper the day of the match instead of the Friday so a more accurate team can be named and it may encourage more people to get along on the day.
