The top 5 is shaping up against each other these coming weeks:
Eagles will play:
Adelaide, North, Norwood
West:
South, Norwood, Port
Port:
Glenelg, South, West
Norwood:
North, West, Eagles
South:
West, Port, Central
Obviously the Eagles have top spot stitched up, but the double chance looks interesting.
West has its work cut out protecting its place against Norwood and South, they are probably the side most at risk, having to play a top 5 side every week until finals. They need to win at least twice to confirm their place.
Port virtually has a game in hand with the Bays this weekend. They can afford to drop the game against South provided they beat West in the final round.
The Norwood vs West game in two weeks time is a real important clash for the double chance. Both sides are on the same amount of wins, so both sides have their fate in their own hands here.
South must win all their remaining games in order to make the top three. They are a game and a half behind the three sides above them, so will be able to reign in either Port or West by beating both those sides when they clash, and then Port play West in the final round which ensures that one of those teams will fall behind South provided the Panthers keep winning. The only problem then would be Norwood, who only need to win two of their final games in order to keep South at bay. With the Redlegs facing off against top placed and seemingly invincible WWT in the final round, that game against West becomes very important for South, who would be hoping for a win to Westies and give South some control over their own fate.
South vs West game of the round this week. Followed by West and Norwood in round 18 and West vs Port in the final round.

Not if they win their next games and South lose...

I'd much rather think about a finals series with South in it than either of those teams, but they could still make it.

Looking at the results so far this round, with just the WWT vs Ravens game coming up, South's equation to make the top 3 becomes a little clearer.
South must win their final two games against Port and Central.
West must win at least one of their final two games against Norwood or Port. Or both, which would guarantee Westies in the top three also.
The Eagles beat Norwood in the final game.
The above would guarantee South to make the top three.
Again the games involving West are the real important ones for the internal make up of the final 5.
In other possibilities, a Torrens win would cement them top spot and knock the Ravens out of the race. The Dogs would still be a mathematical chance.
Norwood and Port are both mathematical chances of finishing top, though Norwood's percentage is a bit of a hindrance.
