Perhaps Carr is sending a message that he's tolerating no bullsh!t or poor discipline, even if by association. Time will tell whether Mitchell becomes a successful forward at the Redlegs or another Doug Smart.

EIGHT Port Adelaide SANFL players have re-signed with the club, just days before the Magpies pre-season begins.

Captain, Steven Summerton, led the charge signing up for his 11th season of league football at Alberton.

Joining Summerton in signing on for 2016 is Louis Sharrad, Tom Gray, Sid Masters, Jonathon Ross, Robbie Young, Luke Reynolds and Tom Corcoran.

Geez Summerton must love budgetting on his $400 per game! Remarkable how that much money made him stay given how much he publically slammed the PAFC Reserves model initially. Strong brown paper bags at Alberton.

Off season until after drafts is a very interesting time with both SANFL and delisted AFL players "slutting" themselves to all clubs and seeking all sorts of dollars too. Most players returning to their original SANFL clubs are in the main always going home so to speak prior to actually signing but love driving the price up.

One player this off season has shopped himself or fielded offers from the 8 pure clubs but was only going to end up "home" despite apparently committing to all verbally! The old supply and demand situation too in this case but nevertheless still slutting" IMHO even if it is part of the game.

Heard Mitch Harvey was shopping himself around, and was well into discussions with Central, before committing to the Roosters in the end...

A couple of ex Double Blues players trying to rejuvenate their SANFL careers at a new club, perhaps?

You wouldn't be talking about one who played at Mount Compass last year and another who played at Torrens Valley in 2015, Phil? Good luck to both of them. One has an X factor about him but consistency, sadly, eluded him at league level and the other, well if our seaside dwellers can get him on the track, good luck to them.

Spot on, knowledge...

Ziggy Vitkunas and Harley Montgomery training at Glenelg. Not sure if they've signed with the Tigers or just trying out, though?

Josh Glenn wont be at Centrals, has signed at Willaston.
Cue the SANFL players leaving to early and chasing coin with cashed up country clubs comments

The Sturt FC is pleased to announce the signing of former Adelaide Ruckman Jack Osborn for seasons 2016 and 2017.

Osborn joined Adelaide’s rookie list in late 2012 as a ‘Category B’ alternative talent selection, crossing from a career in basketball where he spent four years with Adams State University in the United States.

The 205cm Ruckman will be a welcome addition to the club after the retirement of Angus Kurtze.

Always thought this was a bit strange but I guess if your not enjoying whst your doing then you need to review what your doing.

Still a talent gone to waste.

Maybe they aren't as inviting anymore. ? Might need some new blood to reinvigorate the place.

Then why not say so to start with, seriously . I don't understand why people beat around the bush when they know it. Just say so. Hooray if you know more than others .
