Just curious to know if anyone remember's that iconic Woodville West Torrens supporter.
He was a grumpy old goat who used to wear a dodgy helmet painted in Eagles colours.
I know he was defintely a Torrens supporter and I'm assuming became a WWT fan.
I also remember tell that he'd switched allegiances and may have once supported Norwood.

He was a Norwood supporter, then became an Eagles supporter when Neil Balme came across, then became a Port supporter during approximately the last quarter of the '94 GF. Who didn't he support?

That'd be Ernie you saw, not Sid.

Super Sid used to live across the road from my uncle on Griffiths Street, Magill. A dead-set legend! Built his own house from scraps & collected enough cans & bottles to buy a surf life-saving boat for Henley Life Saving Club, I think it was. Did barrack for Norwood but gave up (surprise, surprise) & last I knew, was following the Wiggles but he is definitely not Ernie.

A dead set icon, used to go to every life saving carnivals (juniors and seniors) and helped out donating shitloads towards boats for many clubs. He wore a painted blue/red army helmet and matching cardigan. But are you sure he is still alive, he was old when I was a nipper back in the 1980's!!!

Old Ernie slagged me off after a wwt win at richmond this year. I feared for my life. Lucky my mates were there to protect me.
Took him about 1/2 hour to walk from one end to the other! Reminded me of old Cliff Young.

Super Sid always marched on ANZAC day but in this years march I think he was in a wheelchair. Not positive, coulda been any recent march.
I seem to remember I heard the TV commentators mention he was a POW.

No mate your thinking of Earnie an old woodville supporter who still supports WWT. You'll still see him behind the northern goals at woody these days.
