So the season kicks off with the Panthers hosting the Tigers. Whilst I’m wary of the Bays and think they’ll improve this year, I’m confident South can prevail by 3 or 4 goals. Will keep a keen eye on any debutants and will be curious to see how we structure the forward line as last year it simply failed to fire often enough.
South have won the past 6 games between the clubs.
Crowd wise would be good to see at least 3.5K.

Not sure about this one. Glenelg has recruited some grunt in the midfield and Kirkby/Alleway up forward looks damaging. Their ruck and defence looks very sketchy though. Still can't understand why Josh Miller went to Norwood to basically play back-up ruck in reserves all year when he'd be playing league round one at the Bays imo.
However, we're pretty well full strength minus Rolfe, Rose and Newell in the 2's. Not sure why Trembath isn't playing?
South by anything

Bays are due and they are a far better side than previous years, the loss of Matt Rose makes our task harder, a close game but i think Glenelg will snatch this...sadly

Expect South to win this game.
Rose is a big out but Fields and Hitchcock make us a much better team and late last year we were crippled by injuries so good to get everyone back.
Love the Good Friday Game against the bays always good for some banter.
Expect a crowd well over 4k.

All over 13.7 11.10 , South win. Some very good footy by both sides but also some horrible moments. A lot of talk about Sumner , not sure why.

Well done South, great crowd. Still think they should be the only game on Good Friday as it was a great initiative by them when the other clubs were too gutless to put in for it
