That's ridiculous. Did people think West had their premiership team out there? I think the bloods will really struggle this year as they've lost too much talent. Norwood won a flag losing that much talent but they lost it over two years.

Correct. I don't think any team has lost 6 players to the drafts in one off season before.....

After 2013 we lost Aish, Dumont, Georgiou, Grigg, Zorsi, Thomas, Fuller, Warren, Pfeiffer, Fantasia (off the top of my head) - 9 premiership players, a Magarey medallist and top 3 place getter and our leading goalkicker. 6 to the drafts. Think it's why Leg fans thought winning the 2014 flag was one of our greatest ever achievements.

Unfortunately we don't have players to cover what we lost.
Three players that played in the preliminary final:
Anderson, Homburg and Jayden Brind are all injured for a long period this year.
Yes they are excuses but that's the way our team is at the moment...

We had a lot of luck in 2014 - our best dozen or more played about %90 of the games including all finals, and other results opened up the double chance for us late in the year. I have no doubt Wests best is ahead of them and they can challenge this year, but it's such a monumental task after losing so many quality players.
