STURT
Sturt defender Rune Gilfoy is set to be welcomed straight back into his team’s line-up to face Port at Peter Motley Oval on Sunday.
Sent back to the Reserves last round due to match-ups, Gilfoy responded in strong fashion to be named as the Double Blues’ best in the seconds.
Gilfoy has been joined in the 23-man squad by fellow backman James Paprotny and possible debutant James Moriarty.
Moriarty (19, 189cm and 85kg) is from St Peters Old Collegians and has performed well in defence for the Reserves.
All three inclusions can potentially play the role vacated by valuable backman Pat Wilson, who dislocated his shoulder against Norwood last Friday night.

Is Moriarty from Sturt any relation to former South champ Dan Moriarty?

Go Blues, great win. Who cares what they dished up, we won, easily and it's "Port". Enjoy the win lads.

Well done Blues. Not many would have had them sitting 4-1 before a ball had been kicked

Looks as though Mark Evans had a day to remember.

M. Lobbe 4 touches, 0 marks. Not good enough for an AFL listed big man.

Was at the soccer grand final so didn't see this one. I kept up to date through the SANFL website, and with about ten minutes to play we were 87 points up, I was willing them on to dish out a hundred point drubbing.I am guessing the foot came off the pedal thereafter, as Port then scored their first goal since half time, then actually narrowed the margin by about 3 goals.
Any Port supporters turn up? Usually we get about 400 of them to Unley these days. What was the crowd figure overall?
I think we've been lucky with the draw thus far. The only top five side we've played we lost to, yet we're 3rd with a 4/1 record.

Good work Blues.

Reckon they will be a top 3 side at the end of the year.

The South v Sturt game is 2 weeks time is shaping up to be a fascinating contest.

Before the season you would of said it was a nightmare draw, we've played the Top 5 sides from last year in the first 5 rounds. 4 wins in a row what a start but now another bye :( 2 byes already and it's only round 7

Glenelg v Central @ Glenelg 2.10pm
Sturt v South @ Unley 2.10pm
West v North @ Richmond 2.10pm
Bye: Crows & Norwood

If not for some awkward programming it could have been for top spot Southee. Not to put the mockers on South but I think you'll go two games clear after you play Norwood next week as Sturt has the bye, then the Ravens have the bye the week after, so you are guaranteed that top spot for a while yet.
So far as an indicator of where the sides are at, I imagine that South will give us a little lesson in what it means to play the top side, and we will have the chance to justify our current top three ranking. Not sure if we are genuine yet. We had the advantage of playing the Dogs on our home deck, and the Eagles are a bit of a worry for us too. I think there might be a couple in the bottom five with a few surprises in them also.
But South are 5 and zip. I don't blame you for casting about for potential challengers. I guess we are the next in line so hopefully we can give you a bit more than a training run.

Not sure overall crowd, would have been maybe 200 Port supporters.
