While I appreciate and share your sentiment regarding the loss of any club, Glenelg was not a foundation club.

Technically, but you could say many clubs have built their success upon the GFC, making them a sound foundation. :D

LMAO. Everyone bar the Roosters!

1987 was alright. Premiership, Margaret Medalist, Ken Farmer Medalist and largest GF winning margin between the two. Just a wee bit of success there.

I wish that were the case SY, but IIRC the margin in 1985 was 57 points, and 1986 was 48 points. :-B

If the Bays do fold, will North be awarded the 1973, 1985 and 1986 flags a la the 2012 Brownlow? ;)

All these years following SANFL, I never knew there was a medal named in honor of Margaret.

Interesting news.
Seemingly, Frankston in the VFL has been saved:

Glenelg will be very interested in this.

Do they get their spot back in the VFL?

Noticed a lot of their better players were crossing town and playing for Williamstown next year.

We have them 3 nil in grand finals.
How have other sides gone cashing in on the Bays in grand finals?

We have them 3 nil in grand finals as well. 'What's Norwood done since the War?' Cornes used to say...'Won three grand finals against Glenelg' was always my answer. :D

That'd have to be the two best grand final records against the Bays.
Port have cashed in on the Bays also, but, Glenelg's first flag was against the Pies. Tat's a tarnished record.

So what was the outcome of the Council meeting?
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.
