Carter has been listed at full forward while Pitman – one of the McDonald’s SA Under-18 team’s best players at the National Championships – is on the extended interchange bench.
McDonald’s SA Under-18 All-Australian Alex Villis returns to a wing while key defender Pat Levicki is one of five players named on the pine.

Tough one to pick, with Norwood looking to rectify a disappointing season with a win on their home deck. Reckon the Chooks might jag this one having had a few close misses in the last few weeks, particularly if our running game gets going and our forwards put in a consistent effort. On this season's form, that's a tough ask in itself. Keen to see how Gordon handles the big league.

Joe Anderson versus Lewis Johnston will be an interesting clash to watch.

Lewis to remind his team mates why he left. Finals football and basketball.

Coopers to be the winner. A draw.

After following your tips from this round JTC, I'll personally buy you a beer at the end of the year if you never tip Sturt again.

Very disappointed with the Roosters' effort yesterday. After last week where we pushed the Eagles to within a goal, it's games like yesterday that indicate North still have a fair way to go. You can rely on North to p!ss on the flickering flames of hope.

Well done Norwood, they successfully blanketed North's ability to make space and run and their relentless pressure made North sh!t themselves every time they got the ball in a contested situation. Our decision-making and skills were deplorable, and we produced enough turnovers to put Sarah Lee out of business for good. Not sure what's happening in the centre square, North managed to lose most of the centre clearances despite having a decent ruckman and smaller midfielders (e.g. Max Thring, McDonough, McKenzie).

As for the umpiring, if that's the standard that's considered acceptably for SANFL level then the league's got more problems than just the AFL reserves sides and John Olsen's spin. 66 free kicks, that translates to a free about every 90 seconds. I know some of those were thanks to the new out of bounds rule (which North's coaching staff apparently haven't got the memo on), but there was a lot of umpiring for umpiring's sake going on. Frustrating for spectators and (more importantly) the players, and leads to a product that's not very watchable.

Pretty decent summation there Magellan. I said to the lads I was with (Norwood Supporters) that there guys were just smothering us, and we couldn't find any space to work with. Then when we did.... we turned it straight back over to the Norwood guys.

Some of the umpiring decisions were just bewildering. There were a few occasions when the player who was on the receiving end of the free kick, was shaking his head in disbelief!

Talk about bad umpiring,
in last quarter of the reserves one of the north tall forwards nearly got Ko'd
taking a mark and didn't even get a 15 metre penalty.
Poorest decision of the day, probably cost north the game.
